Amazingly simple and effective.
I used the 19mm Removal Socket on 4 locking lug nuts. These were not the 'Gorilla' type. (They instead had domed heads and a few vertical locking grooves further down the body of each nut.) With a few gentle taps (I used a lightweight sledge hammer) the curved 'cutters' in the Removal Socket cut several shallow grooves in the upper portion of the lug nut - angled to assure that the tool would not slide off when twisting the Socket in the 'Removal' direction. The so-called "locking" nuts came right off, just as easily as non-locking nuts come off with the Torque wrench turned up a bit. This was SO FAST, SO EASY, that I will not buy another set of "locking nuts" to replace them - Messing with the "Key" Socket always took a few seconds longer than the entire removal process with this tool. Why waste money on "locking nuts", when the so-called locking nuts can be removed in under 10 seconds?I don't know if Gorilla-style would require a bit more effort, but mine were a piece of cake - and the tool was just as quick and clean while cutting into nut #4 as it had been while cutting into nut #1. I could probably use the tool on more than 100 additional "locking nuts", without wearing it out. This inexpensive set gets my highest recommendation!

Works as advertised!!
This product works as advertised. Here is my experience. My wife’s 2012 BMW X5 had the original continentals on the front. She hit a curb and got a flat. I was able to break 3 of the 5 lug nuts loose the last two however would not budge. I used a breaker bar. PB blaster penetrating oil. My neighbor who is a mechanic tried a snap-on torque tool and the 17mm socket broke. Ultimately trying our best to get them off, i finally had the car towed to CarMax where we originally purchased and I told them whoever put these lugs on over torqued them and they were impossible to get off. They tried to get it off and ended up rounding them. I looked on Amazon and found these. I myself was in the CarMax parking lot a little skeptical because after 10 days I, my neighbors and the CarMax service were unable to get these two lugs off. I put the 17mm Shankley socket on the lug I attached the 1/2 breaker and began to use my body weight to push down on the breaker bar. The socket moved a tiny bit then I felt it “bite” I pushed and pushed and I heard a loud crack which was the lug breaking loose. I removed that one and had the same experience with the last troubled lug. I highly recommend these they totally work!

took a beating
I had to use the 22 mm and the 21 mm to remove 24 lug nuts off my truck. Firestone was kind enough to rotate my tires for free and rounded every lug nut with a torque wrench. The 22 mm bit into all but three. As I stood my 200 lbs frame on the breaker bar and lightly bounced I could feel the bite and the slow turn of the lug. The three that were so round that the 22 mm did not bite I used an 8 lbs sledge hammer to tap the 21 mm onto the nut. I had to bound a bit harder to get the nut to turn, but the socket held and took them off. The nice thing that is didn't see with every kit was the drift punch. I used a 28 oz ball peen to tap the drift punch to release the nuts. I'm not sure if it actually helped or just my perception, but about nine lug in, I'd started to set the socket on the concrete and wack the nut with the ball peen before I used the drift punch. This set did come with a one year warranty and an instruction card on how to register the tool. And the tools seemed solid when I first handled them, unlike some tools I got at the made in China stores. Pretty happy with the speed and reliability while using.

Didn't work for my McGard Locking Nuts, might work for partially stripped or different sized Nuts.
The set seems like it would work on stripped nuts with some surface left. The 19mm was too small and the 21mm appeared to be too big. I accidentally removed a regular lug nut easily with the socket, the 20mm McGard round locking nut was just ground down and didn't release. I used both a breaker bar and impact wrench on a couple of the nuts with the same result. The set itself seemed ok, the socket couldn't bite into my locking nuts. I was able to get the locking nut off by using a 12 point 19mm socket by hammering it on and using a breaker bar to remove the nut.

Outstanding purchase for removing locking lug nuts!
I've purchased a countless number of items from Amazon and rarely ever take the time to write a review. But after using the Shankly Twist Socket Set I felt the seller deserved this feedback. I lost the key to the locking lug nuts on my car and decided to order this set from Amazon and see if I was able to remove them myself w/o paying a repair shop to do it. Based on the reviews I read prior to purchasing this set I assumed one of two things would happen when I tried removing the lug nuts. 1. This set simply wouldn't work and would end up being a waste of money. 2. If I was able to remove the lug nuts, dislodging the lug nuts from the Shanky Twist Socket would be a pain and take a decent amount of time. What actually happened was it took me at most 10 minutes to remove all 4 lug nuts from the vehicle and dislodging the lug nuts from the Twist Socket took literally 5 seconds when using the small silver punch bar that's included with this set. I can't speak to how well this set would work on other applications, but for removing locking lug nuts it works exactly as described and was even easier to use than I expected. Also, many reviews mentioned having to use an impact gun with this set. I used a breaker bar and simply held the socket in order to keep it straight while pressing on the breaker bar. And like I said, it took no time at all to remove all 4 lug nuts. So while an impact gun might work great, a breaker bar worked perfectly for me.
