I used this to connect my Sony Str Dh790 which has pin connectors and only two Banana connectors. It Works but could be a pain hooking up. Even though descriptions list 16 gauge wire compatible you're will better off with 14 or 12 gauge. It comes off at a slightest push of the receiver. It is still better than using bare wires.

The product works, but the locking screw is too small (diameter) and too short, making assembly and installation clumsy. It does not create a big enough "flat" surface on the front to properly press the stranded copper wire down without "digging" into the strands of wires instead. When that happened, the screw also fell through because it was not long enough. And I had to start over. I used a 14-gauge speaker wire and I had to first twist the stripped and bare wire strands tightly so as to minimize the chance of being separated by the locking screw as I drove it in. I then had to be careful not to drive it down too much so that the screw falls through. I wished I could drive it down further for a tight fastening but couldn't. The product can take 12-gauge wire and it would fit better, but few need wire that big. And it would be worse if you use smaller wires, like 16 or 18-gauge. I am sure if the screw diameter and length increase by 50% or more, it would make installation much easier. I could have finished the work in 30 minutes. I ended up using 60 minutes instead.

Good, solid product. Setup or switching speaker cables bring annoyance fast. To prevent that you need this pin type banana connectors for most speakers. They make switching cables a breeze.

Well, several reviews mentioned this. I took a chance and got a dud. I'm using 12 AWG speaker cable. The little black binding screw only weakly presses into the speaker wire and if you keep tightening it it will fall into the connection hole. Maybe 10 AWG would work better. Nothing in the description provides useful info on the range of best fit speaker wire guages. I'm returning this and going with a different product.

These connectors were easy to set up because the flat head screw that holds the bare wire in place in the connector was long enough to properly secure the wire.

these are very well built ,, better than some "name brands" I juat bought.

Product itslef is fine. Used with the 14 gauge Amazon wires and they fit great.Giving 1 star because package came missing one pin and two screws. (Received 8 screws and 9pins).Had to reorder another set as I didn't want to gamble with missing parts again.
