Carrie Mango, Ripens June-July. 1 Baby Carrie Mango Tree, approx.10"H Dwarf small stature tree, this “condo mango” is an ultra compact grower. The tree is suitable for container growing on a balcony, or planting in a suburban backyard. High disease tolerance. excellent sweet and tangy, highly aromatic, orange flesh. Regular ovate, small mango, 10-12 oz, up to 1 lb green to yellow fiberless. A home garden favorite offering small tree size, disease tolerance and excellent flavor. The flavor is by far the most outstanding feature of this variety. It has absolutely no fiber; Is extremely rich in flavor, sweet, aromatic and a pure pleasure to eat. You will savor every mouthful! Its compact size makes it an excellent dooryard tree that requires minimal care. Both fruit and tree have little to no problem with fungus or disease. Lack of color and firmness are the only shortcomings of this superb variety. To determine where to pick, look for a subtle yellow color at its base. Do not let the fruit drop from a tree, or it will bruise since it's completely fiberless. Many people agree that this is the best tasting mango in existence! Ships bare rooted buy a deep container and re-plant it. Grow it indoors, the bigger the pot, the bigger it will grow or if you live in a warm climate, replant outdoors when it reaches a foot or more. This baby Carrie tree is not a wimpy mango seedling grown in some hot-house nursery, this little tree is a strong survivor planted for you by Mother Nature. An animal or bird stole one of our mangoes, ate it, cracked the seed and discarded it. The seed then took root under the canopy of the mother tree and a new little seedling sprouted. This happened several times, some of them were destroyed by landscapers mowing the surrounding lawn or by wind and other hazards, while others survived. This was one of the survivors which we carefully dug up and replanted into a pot. She is happily growing there waiting for you to adopt her.

Weather Beater Potential
I bought this item (Carrie mango) because it had a good review on taste on line. It has a great price and is a seedling not grafted; its mature height suggests it can be controlled through proper pruning. It is recommended for condo and container growing, necessary in my area. The product arrived in 4 days by USPS from Puerto Rico to Nevada in perfect condition. Hats off to a great shipping decision by the grower. Presently, I have 2 of these plants and they have survived in my greenhouse, under temperature and light control. Because they are recommended for container growing I plan to move them into the garden in Spring and greenhouse in winter to compensate for the weather here that is borderline for subtropicals/tropicals.
