Item was easy to put together. It’s sturdy. My mom feels safer getting in and out of bed as it helps with her balance

Not for people with major mobility issues.
This is a great little standing assist bar! The design means that it easily tucks in close to any piece of furniture.It's quite stable, providing that most of the pressure is exerted downwards, not forwards or backwards. It takes a little practice, so perhaps plan on being around while the person using the assist bar tries it a few times.Great for anyone who could use a little assist to stand up, including pregnant people, those of us with stiff knees (arthritis), and active elderly people. It would also be useful for anyone on crutches short term.I don't think that the base is large enough to meet the needs of someone with major mobility issues. If a person is going to be putting even half of their weight on it, you probably need a bigger footprint for safety. But it's great for those of us who just need a little assist.

This grab bar is super sturdy being able to withhold up to 300 pounds. It has a foam grip for comfort and even a pocket to put a phone or remote control in. There are really sturdy leg grips to keep traction during use. This is a must for those who need a little help with getting up.
