Coming back to buy another after almost a year
Really loved this phone ring holder. Got it May of last year and it just now broke this March almost a year later. Toward the end of its life it did become really easily swivelly and kinda loose which gave me a heads up it was about ready to fall off, so I could baby it. The gold coloring stayed on pretty well for its entire life. Never came off my phone case once and saved it from being dropped probably more times than I could count. Loved it. Buying another.

good product
This works so well. It is level on the bottom, so there's no sliding around or tilting. It will wear out after several months and have to be replace; but, that is not an issue.

There's really no excuse for this.
This phone grip looked and worked just fine . . . for the first few weeks. The ring pulled out easily and yet held firm in what ever position I put it. "Nice" I thought. Then I noticed the finish started to come off, just a little bit in one spot. No big deal for me as I am more concerned about function. Then the finish wore off more and more. Then, as other reviews here have mentioned, the pin started to slide out. And when it slides out, the ring becomes less supportive. Eventually, the pin pulls out of the one side of the tab and then the ring is completely useless at that point. I thought I'd try to salvage it. I mean, it was junk at this point, so why not try to save it? I tried to push the pin back in but wasn't successful at first. A big reason is because when you put pressure on the pin, the ring rotates away from the pressure point. So how to keep that from happening? I eventually used a vise grip pliers (just tight enough to hold it without scratching it up too much. Again, I'd rather have it working than be concerned about how it looks) to prevent the rotation and used a small hammer and punch to get the pin back in. While trying to do that, I had to make sure the holed were lined up between the ring and tab. It was a bit of a frustrating exercise. I eventually go the pin in place. This worked but only for a short time. The pin eventually worked its way out again. I punched it back in but as you may have already guessed, it came out again. In picture pictures one and two are close ups of the pin coming out. You can also see where the vise grips caused some cosmetic damage. The third picture shows the finish wearing off. And lastly, the video shows how non-functional the ring is once the pin comes out. I purchased this Feb 13 and today's post is Mar 23. I should have returned it when I had a chance but for the $15 I spent for it, not a big deal. That's on me. But I'm done with it. Threw it in the garbage and am going to get something else from a different manufacturer. TL;DR The pin holding the ring slides out rendering the holder useless. Do not buy.

Highly useful, but life is limited
The good: Works great in that the metal sticks well to my dash vent magnet. Ring spins around so you can easily adjust grip angle. It's pretty flat so your phone doesn't sit too high like when using a pop socket The bad: Cannot use wireless charging with this. Durability is low. As many reviewers have said, and as mine has done, the pin holding the ring in place as partially come out and cannot be pushed back in, so the ring is really loose. I purchased this item in February, pin came loose in September. It's a great tool if manage your expectations that this will not have a super long life. I will buy this again as it is pretty useful.

Durable! Best phone grip on Amazon, hands down
I bought this almost 4 months ago and I've been waiting to write a review to see how well this holds up over time. I've gone through so many ring holders, popsockets, phone grips, etc. over the past year and I would say unequivocally, this is the best, most durable one of them all. I've bought Spigen phone cases in the past that were very high quality for the price, so I thought after about 20 different failed phone grips, I'd give this product a shot. I'd been putting it off because it's a bit more expensive than the cheap ones that come in packs of 3 and such. -it's still stuck tightly to my phone case. I have had 0 issues with it coming unstuck. -the swivel function of the ring has remained perfect. On other ring holders, it will get loose over time and spin a little too freely. -one issue I've had specifically with ring holders is that within a month of use, the screws holding the ring to the base will get loose and stick out, which would affect my ability to fully open and close the ring. I still have no issues with the screws coming out on this one. -related to the screws loosening, once those come out, the ring part will often flap around, which means you wouldn't be able to stand the phone on it's side. I'm still able to use the ring to stand my phone up in landscape mode with this ring. -the back of this holder is flat, so resting the phone on it's back gives me few issues. I found popsockets and some other ring holders to be too tall and/or rounded to keep my phone from flopping around when placed back side down. I guess the only downside is that the ring holder has the Spigen branding written on it, which I don't like, but you really won't find another phone grips of such good quality anywhere else on Amazon, believe me. I think I've tried them all at this point.

Ergonomics great, does not last.
I love the ergonomics of this. I've had this for a couple phone cycles now. However the last two have had the same issue. The tiny bolt that holds the two parts together loosens on its own and can't be put back on. I thought maybe it was just a fluke on the last one but now a few months later its happening on the new one. I'll have to find another solution as it becomes to loose to use after a few months.

Best ring grip I've used yet
I've only tried 4 ring grips, but this is by far the best. 1) it's compatible with magnetic phone holder/mounts. I didn't imagine that any wouldn't be compatible but then I got one (Ringke) not made with ferromagnetic metal and was disappointed not to be able to use my magnetic car mount. 2) It is wonderfully slim. I haven't had another with this flat of profile before and it's nice that it doesn't protrude from my phone very much. 3) The flat side of the ring makes it much more stable and resistant to tipping when the ring is used as a "kickstand." 4) The "kickstand" attachment feels really secure. Time will tell if it lasts after more than a month of wear, but other ring grips I've had either didn't work as a kickstand as new or stopped being able to hold up the phone (instead they just folded open/closed) after a short time. The only slight negative is that it's somewhat hard to rotate the ring around. I'm not able to do it with one hand, I have to hold my phone with the other hand in order to rotate the ring (e.x. to have the kickstand portrait vs. landscape oriented). Overall, this is a great ring grip and I will definitely buy this again next time I get a new case/phone. Update: after almost 6 months of use, the "kickstand" functionality of this ring is still perfect. I occasionally set my phone (Pixel 3) on a desk to read or view a video, and my phone stays solidly up at an angle and is able to withstand tapping/swiping for navigation/typing just fine (provided one doesn't jab unnecessarily hard). The color at the edge of the ring is wearing some but not enough to make it look unacceptably bad in my opinion, but I attached a photo for you to be the judge.

Hinge falling apart after 3 months of use. Bad design.
Could have been a one-star review, but gets an extra point for appealing design. (Small, low profile, flush with the cutout in my phone's case). Used it on iPhone 8 with shiny glass back with this stand glued directly to the phones glass back. Despite alcohol cleaning and prep first stickie peeled off in about a month or two. Used it mostly as a stand (much rare use as finger loop). After first stick pad failed (phone fell but was saved by the case), meticulously pre-cleaned and dedusted the area for second sticky pad. Stopped using it as finger loop. Don't trust it any more. Mostly use as just a stand. A month after still holds with that careful use. This is not reason for would-be one-star review. Tough shiny glass surface - so minus a star or two only (and a tiny bonus for including a spare sticky pad). The bigger reason for nearly one-star review - design of the hinge is bad. The peg holding it together gradually slid out of the hole with use (see video). At this point only one side of the hinge is held and I don't trust the thickness of aluminum there to hold. Good looking on paper, not worth investing your time or money unfortunately.

Not as good as the previous model
After one month of use the ring became loose I think the screw that holds the ring to the base is the reason.

Functional sturdy ring
Just got this ring for my phone and for the first few days of use it was great, super solid and just what I wanted. It spins nicely, supports the phone, and feel sleek and not cheap. Now, just days later, the pin at the top is coming out and it's less solid. I have tried pushing the pin back in but can't get it to work. I wanna love this product I just wish it was functional. Update: contacted Spigen and they are sending me a new ring. Will update again 😊 product support was easy and helpful!
