Overall I think this a a great kit, good for beginners as well as not. I'm a beginner, and though I found the instructions lacking, the online video was helpful. Once you get the hang of the basic knots it's really pretty simple. I wish the product information let you know it would make 2 planters at the size instructed, because then I would have known to save some of the beads for a second one. As it is, I used them all on one, and I think it's a bit overcrowded at the top and would look nicer with less... and then I'd have some for a second hanger. Oh well. Other than that I'm pretty pleased and I think it turned out well for my first time.

I purchased this macrame kit as a birthday present for my daughter.Soon after placing the order, I got a personalized email from the seller thanking me for the purchase and assuring me when the order would be delivered and telling me that if there was any problem at all with the order giving complete assurance that things would be taken care of promptly. Thread is great and easy to handle. Beads are fine. My 4yo decided to run off with my instructions, but YouTube got me through my first hanger. The only thing I wish this had, was wooden rings for hanging. You can macrame a loop but the wooden rings are easier. They are also pretty inexpensive to purchase from Amazon as well.

I could not find a macrame plant hanger in any store so I decided to make one... the amount of rope you receive is more than enough for at least 3 hangers. I purchased additional beads and incorporated them into the basic design. I did use the video tutorial and it was very helpful as the written instructions are not as clear to follow.. overall this was a great purchase, my fern is now “Happy” to be hanging on the patio.

Overall, it was pretty easy once I understood the knots. I suggest watching the instructional video and some other videos on how to tie the proper knots before starting this project.

I like the look of the finished product. I have not done macramé in forty years. This was a great project. One thing that I wish was included in the kit would be a metal ring for the top to attach to your hanger.

I have not gotten to put mine together yet since I just had a new baby. However I am so excited. The materials are so nice. Shipping was also incredibly fast! I'll try to add a picture to my review once I get to finish it!
