512GB Extreme PRO Dual Drive USB-C+USB-A Up to 1000MB/s Read Speeds

DISCLAIMER: When I bought this, I paid around $200 for this BEFORE the RAMPOCALYPSE. Anyways, I accidentally washed this with my clothes one day AND IT STILL WORKS JUST AS FINE. Let me reiterate... there wasn't ANY issues afterwards. I've got to say the current price is very discouraging, but it works after making a blunder like putting it in a washing machine. I'm impressed. I'm overjoyed. I thought I'd have to buy another one for the current grossly artificially inflated price. Ahem, so as far as durability I'd say this is the most durable flash drive I've ever owned. It's compatability is amazing with android devices such as phones, laptops, Playstation, PCs and etc. The data transfer from mobile devices is a lot faster due to the USB C compatible port. The appearance is okay. The stability can be finicky at times with the USB C port. I've never had any issues with the USB A port. It's definitely worth what I purchased it for. I personally wouldn't fork over $250+ for ONLY 2 terabytes. Regardless, if you need a good investment, this is it. For streamers and photographers who shoot videos in 4K or 8K, it can handle the storage demanding requirements. I still have more than plenty of space left. Oh, and did I forget to mention everything still works after I put it in the washing machine? I wasn't going to review this product, but gamers, content creators and etc should know wonderful of an investment this is. I would've broke down in tears if it had stopped functioning properly.

It worked out ok. I have a MacBook Pro and it works fine. I used this on my niece’s MacBook. It went fairly fast. I was satisfied with it. The only thing is that it got extremely hot. But nothing failed to work. It did the job ok. Size was good. Easy to use. Good value for money. Very portable. Good design. Compatible with Mac computers. Highly recommend!

I bought this because I wanted a high-capacity flash drive that works with both USB-C and USB-A without needing adapters. This SanDisk drive does exactly that, and the 512GB capacity gives me plenty of room for documents, photos, videos, backups, and moving larger files between devices. The speed is the biggest reason to buy this one over a basic flash drive. File transfers are noticeably faster, especially with large folders or media files. It feels much closer to using an external SSD than an old-school thumb drive. I also like the dual-connector design. Being able to plug into newer USB-C devices and older USB-A ports makes it a lot more useful, especially if you are moving between desktops, laptops, phones, tablets, or other equipment. It is small, fast, and easy to carry. For school files, work documents, media, backups, or general everyday file transfer, this is a solid drive. Not cheap compared to basic flash drives, but the speed, capacity, and dual-connection setup make it worth it.

I've bought plenty of thumb drives, starting way back when they measured these things in megabytes, not gigabytes. I worked my way up to 8gb, then 16, then 32. I bought decent brands and they've served me well. Then, I had to transport multiple videos over a GB each and all of a sudden even the 32GB unit wasn't enough. Seeing the future I decided to seriously upgrade. The last 32GB model I bought was like $60 and then I saw this Sandisk unit with SIXTEEN TIMES the capacity for only double the price, and I grabbed it. It works on both USB-A and USB-C, and fits on my keychain so it won't be easily lost. It also is faster than previous USB drives, so that's a bonus. If you're tired of lost drives, drives that run out of upload room, and you want to settle the issue for a long time to come, check this one out.

I bought the 256GB SanDisk Extreme PRO Dual Drive for transferring large files, installing Linux on some hardware, and general backup/utility use between Macs, PCs, and USB-C devices. The best thing about this drive is the read speed. In Blackmagic Disk Speed Test on my Mac, it reached about 899 MB/s read, which is impressively close to the advertised “up to 1000 MB/s” claim. For copying installers, disk images, media files, and backup archives off the drive, it feels legitimately fast. Write speed was good, but not as close to the advertised number. The same test showed about 526 MB/s write, versus the advertised “up to 900 MB/s.” That is still much faster than a typical thumb drive, but buyers should know it may not hit the full claimed write speed in normal use. The build quality feels premium, and I like having both USB-C and USB-A on one drive. That made it especially useful for moving files between newer Macs, older machines, and hardware I was setting up with Linux. It is compact enough to keep around as a high-performance installer and transfer drive. At the price I paid, about $88.81 with tax, I would call it a good but not cheap drive. You are paying a premium for the compact dual-connector design and very fast read performance. I think it is worth it if you regularly move large files or want one serious utility drive for multiple systems, but it is overkill if you only need basic file storage. Overall, I’m happy with it. The read speed is excellent, the design is practical, and the write speed is still strong even though it fell short of the advertised maximum.

One of the best pieces of kit I’ve ever picked up. The transfer speeds are unreal and the capacity is wonderful. It definitely generates heat in use and I worry a bit about long term viability, but fingers crossed. So glad I got this before the Storage Armageddon of price hikes caused by the AI bubble.

The SanDisk 2TB Extreme PRO Dual Drive USB is an absolute beast of a flash drive. It’s a bit bulkier than the SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Luxe, but with 2TB of storage and up to 1000MB/s speeds, the added size makes sense—and honestly, it’s still pocketable and sleek enough. See my photos for size comparison between the Luxe, this Extreme PRO, and a pen. Performance-wise, it really delivers. In my disk speed tests, it consistently hits around 800MB/s read/write, and real-world large file transfers confirm those numbers. It’s super fast, and noticeably runs cooler than the Luxe, which is a nice bonus during long copy sessions. While the Luxe is already a fantastic drive, this model feels like a step up across the board. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but when you consider that this little USB stick offers performance and storage on par with my Samsung T7 2TB SSD—at a similar price point—it’s pretty amazing. I got this at $149 during Springs Sale btw. Highly recommended if you want high-speed, high-capacity portable storage in a compact form. Totally happy with this purchase.

It works so far, and seems to be fast enough fo rmy purpose.

Very good product!

Finally a game changer! Blazing fast. First flash drive I actually like - transferred 7GB files from my MacBook Pro in the blink of an eye. Someone mentioned it doesn’t work with iPad -not true! It works perfectly.
