In the beginning, we bought it for our cats. For the cats nails, its really effective and fast. Later,we planned to use it on our 88 pound 28 inches tall Aussie Shepherd. We followed the instructions in the instructions and used the No. 2 spare grinding wheel , cut off the big dogs nails with a nail clipper first and then put the nails gently (rather than vigorously pressing) on the grinding wheel. It's a bit slow, BUT we have to be patient. Finally we completed it in 15 minutes.

So quiet that my dogs never afraid of grinding her nails and even no adaptation period.On the first day of getting it, I tested it seriously. First, I spent almost an hour fully charging it and then using it at the highest speed (7000 RPM). Surprisingly, it really worked for almost 8 hours. Really high quality product,recommend sincerely!

This is a great tool. My dog’s nails always seem to be sharp, so I purchased this item in hopes to reduce the sharpness, and it worked wonders! It’s very easy to use and comes with a charger and an extra grinder. There’s 2 sized slots- one for small pets and one for bigger pets. Usually my dog is scared when it comes to trimming his nails but he didn’t mind me using this tool on him, which is a huge win!

Powerful enough to trim my great Dane's hard nails when using both the NO. 2 coarse grinding wheel and Turbo 7000 rpm function together. And still works great after using it for 3 times.Also really quiet. Recommend.

I tested it after purchased and it really worked for about 8 hours after fully charge.Come with a replacement grinding wheel,2 alternative running speed,LCD display for showing remaining battery.More expensive than other similar products, but great value.

Gorgeous design but doesn't actually get the job done. I sat there forever just trying to get one nail shaved. I ordered it after the previous one (Dremel 7300-PT 4.8V Pet Nail Grooming Tool) I had broke. I guess I'll be going back to that one because while I'm annoyed that it stopped working after a couple of years, it actually gets the job done.

I was super excited to try this out. I have an Alaskan Shepard and I hate cutting her nails. It would have taken the whole day using this filer though. She does have thick nails, she is a big girl, I'm sure this would have worked great on a smaller to mid size dog. It was just not practical for us. It is light weight, the sound wasn't bad, BUT she still wasn't thrilled, and there is only so long you can take to get the job done.

Motor is very weak. Trying to use with a goffins cockatoo. Pretty small nails and still doesn’t work well at all. I have to hold the nail so it’s just barely touching otherwise it stops spinning. That’s difficult to do with a bird that isn’t cooperating
