ZOMAKE Lightweight Packable Backpack 35L, Light Foldable Backpacks Water Resistant Collapsible Hiking Bag, Compact Folding Day Pack for Travel Camping(Black)

I bought this backpack for an upcoming, month-long trip to Japan. My main luggage will be a larger backpack (TLS Motherlode Weekender), but there are several points where I’ll be leaving my larger backpack behind and traveling for 1-2 nights with this smaller backpack instead. So, I wanted a backpack that is extremely lightweight, takes up very little room when packed, is waterproof, holds enough to act as an overnighter, and is comfortable to wear. I feel like I hit the jackpot with this backpack.To test it out, I used it as my carry-on for a 7-night trip to Hawaii. I’ve included three photos showing it packed for the trip. I managed to fit a 9x12” folder with about 1/2” thick stack of letter-sized paper, 5 sketchbooks (I’m testing them too), two bags of pens and other art supplies, a bag of sundries, my iPad, phone, wallet, earphones, a cardigan, water bottle and all the other little stuff one carries on a trip. You can see all of this in the first photo. The second photo is a peak inside the bag with it full packed and still room to spare. The backpack has one large inner compartment, with an unpadded laptop sleeve sized big enough to easily fit the folder, iPad and my two largest sketchbooks. The large compartment is generously sized and will easily fit a small or medium packing cube along with toiletries and a smaller selection of art supplies for my Japan trip. There are also two zippered compartments on the front. The top compartment easily fit my wallet and smart phone. The half moon pocket below is quite large, and further divided inside with a pocket, and a zippered mesh pocket to make it easy to organize all your little things. There are also two mesh water bottle holders - one on either side, and the top elastic held my water bottles quite securely. My third photo is of the backpack with the aforementioned load. (Notice there’s still room to spare.In Hawaii, I used the bag almost every day when going on different excursion. Despite its lack of padding, the wide shoulder straps distributed the load quite evenly and I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable it was, even with a heavy-ish load and longer (mile plus) walks. It also rained on us for the first two days of our trip, and I can now confirm that the backpack is waterproof as well. The only thing I didn’t love were the chest straps. As a woman, I found they were placed just a little lower than was optimal. They can slide up and down for best fit, but the highest placement was still a little low, but not so low that I couldn’t use them for extra security when hiking over more uneven terrain. The fourth photo, shows the chest strap buckled. (You can also see the bright orange emergency whistle/buckle - not my favorite feature)The last photo, I tried to show the backpack’s profile when worn. I bought this backpack for two big trips- one to the Galapagos and Peru , the other to the Caribbean. Exactly what I needed. Something very light weight but with enough space to be usable. Like that it folds to a small pouch when not in use. Perfect for a day trip or activity. Highly recommend.

I have purchased several zomake packable bags . They are excellent quality and function as they should.. we use them for hikes and they have held up VERY well.. easy to pack back into its pouch. Great for travel or even for groceries

This is an inexpensive pack, but for the price I thought it was a very good value. It comes in a wide variety of colors, I chose bright yellow to make it easy to see and also so I could easily personalize it to Hufflepuff by addition of a house crest patch. It can hold quite a lot, it folds for storage or packing, there is a lot of adjustment in the various straps. We looked it over carefully and the seams don't seem to be badly done, and are wrapped and/or double sewn to avoid raveling problems. I haven't yet used it, so can't say how it will stand up, but so far I am quite happy about it.Yes, the shoulder straps don't have a lot of padding, yes, there aren't as many pockets/divisions as some more expensive packs. But for the price, I consider it a good value.

i really like this backpack i bought two and gonna buy one more for a friend. like with other packs it'll be heavy if you pack a lot of stuff, but itself its lightweight. i use it for everyday purposes, in icy cold weather i wear my goose down coat and i still have strap left so the pack fits comfortable and the chest strap fits good. worth the price , great quality too

My husband loves this backpack. It is light , almost has no weight of its own. holds alot of stuff. Good for a daytime hike of a few hours, He might get a different one for overnight hikes, but this one is perfect for beginning .

I love the lightweight nature of the bag, and it very large and roomy for the price. Also had no issues with water leaking into the bag. Very happy overall with the product. Disappointed that the zipper on the upper pouch just slid right off and I can no longer use that part of the bag. Also with that pouch being open, now I have to wonder if the water proofing extends into the pocket or if it will now leak. Cant give it more than 3 stars because of this one issue.

I was skeptical but I really love this packable daypack. It is not a heavy backpacking or book bag. I needed a lightweight, packable daypack when I am out and about touring a new city and needed to have something to carry my rainjacket or water or umbrella etc. This checked all the boxes for me.
