Collection 1979-1982

Well a shock to remember all this great material. Played the whole boxset and really enjoyed the music. Sound quality decent enough. The band sound like they are having fun. It may not reach the heights of Deep Purple, but it has it moments and some great tracks. I bought on an deal price and felt that was a fair price, but full price is a bit steep. That said I enjoyed it, it has a familiar comforting sound from my past, just in the same way when I listen to Rainbow. Perhaps just a period in time thing, but a good one nevertheless.

Sturdy box, Good covers and vinyl themselves are good quality with clean noise free playback ( very few pops and clicks and little surface noise ). This is the quality other vinyl boxed sets should aspire to but sadly do not. Would recommend this set unreservedly. Get it before it shoots up in price!.

Great box set from a great Band! Love it.!

Gillan box set is well worth the money and time to sit down and listen to this fantastic set on vinyl. Classic Gillan albums in Future Shock, Mr Universe,Glory Road, Double Trouble and Magic. Original artwork all on 180gramm vinyl a must for all Gillan fans.

Absolutely fantastic box set by the man himself and once again the vinyl records sound out of this world beats cds MP3 streaming any day there is only one way to listen to music if you am seriously into music "VINYL ONLY"

I have to say i like this box set, it is of a high quality and the audio is better than the original Virgin pressings - and a free 7 inch single as well...so highly recommended A+++

These took me back the the Hammersmith Odean, local rock nights etc. Wonderful and I am soooo pleased to say not remixed and sanitized into the modern era. The heart and sound remains. Nice gate-folds and box too.

Gillan Box. Auf Zufall beim Stöbern drauf gestoßen. Hatte den Release nicht mitbekommen. Sofort bestellt und seit ich sie habe, laufen die Platten in Dauerschleife, sobald ich meinen Plattenspieler starte. Hier kann man mal echte Heavy Rock Perlen genießen, die der edle Sänger Anfang der 80er mit seiner Band geschaffen hat, nachdem er bei Deep Purple ausstieg. Die Band GILLAN war meiner Erinnerung nach zu Beginn 1978/79 ziemlich erfolgreich. Auch noch bis zum Ende der Band 82. Dann rief Black Sabbath und Ian löste die Band auf.Zu den einzelnen Songs ist nicht viel zu erzählen. Wer sie kennt , liebt sie. Wer nicht, dem sind sie zu empfehlen. Sind natürlich auch einige wenige Ausfälle (meine ganz persönliche Meinung) dabei, aber im Großen und Ganzen ist hier im Gegensatz zu heutigen Releases einiger ewiger Stars im Metal- Genre noch Spielfreude, Ideen und dieser typische Metal- Underground Charme der damaligen Zeit zu erleben. Echt: Platte auflegen, Volume auf 10 und ab!Noch cool zum Produkt: Die Future Shock hat ein mehrseitiges Booklet mit starkem Bildern und Fotos, bei der Glory Road ist eine weitere Scheibe „only for Gillan Fans“ enthalten, die echt starke Bonussongs enthält. Eine 1-seitiges Single „Spanish Guitar“ ist noch dabei. Und alle Platten haben Songtexte. Voll zu empfehlen das Ding.
