500 Tattoo Designs

I must not have read the review on this book before I purchased it. I usually do when I shop so I'm beginning to wonder if I intentionally meant to order this at all. I truly must have clicked the wrong button somewhere.With the promise of 256 pages of tattoo design, I can see why people may buy this item. To tell you the truth, I have never been so disappointed by a book in my life. I can say that without exaggerating. A couple of the Asian line art images were ok, just to give it some slack, but basically all I'm left with here is a collection of primitive and child-like drawings.The number of pages might be correct, but the book is teeny tiny; only 14 x 17 centimeters, so the butter is spread thin. Furthermore the biggest flaw is the shameful lack of explanatory text to these doodles (which I would hardly call 'designs'). Ultimately you don't get very much content at all.I was planning my next tattoo and needed a little input; needless to say; this book certainly did no such thing.It's a waste of good paper and money.

I think writing down a review should be optional. Just like how it used to be. I just want to give a couple of stars, clear my order history and get on with the rest of my day. But now we can't send a rating until we give a review on the product we ordered. I used to only write a review if there was something wrong. I f not, then I give five stars. Ok nothing special.

This is a pretty nice hardback little book here, great quality as i was saying. But most of the pictures are pretty darn cheesy...But overall you get what you pay for!:)

Fast shipping but not very thrilled with the book itself....not very good stencils! Would have liked better pictures but I guess for price it was okay!

A lot of the pictures and hair look like a child or them

Only gave it a 5 star rating so people would not buy this book. My 3 year old can draw flash better than the illustrations in this book and he is blind.. Find one of the tattoofinder.com flash books.

good ideas simple artwork

I already owned several tattoo books, but the cover & the very reasonable price of this book caught my attention & so I ordered it. I was to be disappointed with the content, however. Many of the designs are extremely basic: some appearing almost to have been drawn by a child, & others looking like something from the pages of a child's colouring book. I found it quite odd to see so many of the designs not coloured in. There were very few original designs, a large number appearing throughout my other books, but of better quality. There is one tattoo design that I would contemplate having done, to add to my collection of body art, but asking my tattooist to improve it by drawing it to a higher standard, & changing the colours. It provides a mildly entertaining browse, but for serious tattoo collectors, those who are considering having their first tattoo, or for those who want to learn something of the history of this form of body art, look elsewhere. This book is not particularly informative, & does not provide you with much inspiration.

Brilliant scope

Drawings are a bit off and some designs just aren't that good. It's a good book to build on from where by you take the image and make it better but not for a finished piece.

This book is great if you are looking for inspiration for tattoos and good to see some amazing work thanks
