Converts presta valve tubes for use with schrader valve heads. Handy for use at gas stations, if you are stuck without a pump.

and easy to lose
Works! Just have to get it adjusted correctly. Depending how far you thread it onto the presta, it leaks or doesn't. Get it just right, and no leaks. It takes some practice. The only negative is that it's tiny, and easy to lose.

Get it at your local bike shop.
This product is way overpriced. Every one of the bike shops where I live sell them for $1 each. This will not allow you to use a tire pressure gauge. It only helps when filling up the tires with air. Also, I find that the adapters in general are annoying--when you unscrew them, the adapter will often unscrew the stem too. Then you are left to screw the stem back in and pump up your tires again. The very best option is to buy a bike pump that is compatible with both Shrader and Presta style valves. I got a fairly nice one at Wal-mart for about $20.

Just what I needed
I just recently purchased a new bike, and to my surprise it didn't use the standard valve stem (Schrader) that I have always used. I have an air compressor that runs from the cigarette adapter in my car, and it only has the Schrader style valve. Rather than buying a new pump for $20+, I purchased this for $4 and it has worked excellent so far. I store it right on the stem so I have it if I ever need it while I'm out riding. I also love that his item has free shipping regardless if your order is @25 or greater, which is awesome. Excellent little adapter.

Not quite what I expected
These are adapters that you can screw on your presta valves to allow you to use a mountain bike style schrader valve pump. You'd have to leave these on your bicycle wheels all the time, or be hunting for them. I was really looking for the adapters that plug into your pump and stay there. The ones I received were well made, and silver - looked like aluminum. They did what they are supposed to do.The price here was high - you can do better locally.

Best Presta adapter
I was about to cancel this item due to the long delivery time (it comes from China, through 'snail mail'). However, they shipped it, so it was too late for that.In the meantime I got a Presta adapter from a local bike shop and it worked fine with my bike pump. Later on, I ordered the Campbell Hausfeld MP6000 Tire Inflator with Gauge. It worked just fine with Schrader valves (on our cars and some older bikes), but wasn't able to inflate any of the tires that had Presta valves.I was about to modify the tire inflator, but I I finally received the 'Presta Adapter' from Amazon, and I wanted to give it a try. To my surprise, and satisfaction, it worked really really well.Apparently, the Presta adapters come in a bunch of shapes and sizes, but this was the one that worked extremely well with my tire inflator.I'll order a few more as soon as I can.

It might do in a pinch, but I'd rather not trust it.
I bought two of these so I could use my existing air-pump on my new bike, but after lots of jiggling and cussing about it I couldn't get them to make a good enough seal to get the tires to more than half pressure. They are tiny enough that I may keep one in my saddle bag in case I have to half-air a tire with the wrong kind of pump, but I hope I never need to use it.

No Good!
Supposed to be an Adapter but did not work with my regular 12v air pump.. for my Bicycle so I went to Target and got a manual Presta Pump and worked like a champ after 10 pumps my tires were inflated. With this one I left 10 min pumping and barely put any air in my tire... I returned the product never got my refund. Don't Buy this! is cheap but is aluminum and you get what you pay for.
