If you want a sleeve that works both ways, get something that stretches.Fit: The surface pro 3 is easy to insert and remove without being able to move around inside. The flap in the back easily stays closed with a small magnet, providing all around protection for the laptop.Construction: The outside feels like soft worn leather. The inside feels like velvet, similar to the outside of the type cover, but thinner. Between these two layers is a light weight stiffener to help keep its shape. We'll see how it holds up to travel and use.Other thoughts: I love the airmail look of this, but it does not have any extra pockets for cables and accessories, which is fine for me, but may not be for you.I do not have an 11" macbook air, which is what this sleeve was designed for. However, with the keyboard and pen attached the surface pro 3 is almost the same size as the 11" macbook air. I think this case would fit it nicely; the 13" version of this case fits our 13" macbook air well, with just a tiny bit of extra room inside.
