Ulo - an Interactive Home Monitoring Owl, Interactive Owl Security Camera, Surveillance Camera, Black

After trying to setup the camera with the app the setup process keep failing. I can’t connect to the WiFi from my house. After failing to get an IP it brings me to the beginning of the process. Loop of dead . I check with the company support and it seems I’m not the only person with this problem. This is a half done product . I will change my review if I get a solution.

I am still battling to connect it to my wi-fi. Purchased another monitor which I connected in 3 minutes.I wil post again after asking for tech support to make it work.

It's not as it Amazon shows it.

This is the whole reason I quit using Kickstarter. After waiting YEARS for this product to be delivered. Years worth of excuses, it is horribly designed and has never worked like the creator said it would. I have tried again and again. It is the cutest little owl, but I could have saved hundreds by getting another type of camera. Hugely disappointed.

I bought one and it was a waste of money ....you can’t use it with your app without updating it. When you try to update it which is complicated. It doesn’t the eyes just stay updating for ever. Cool product if it worked. For the amount of money it cost and it doesn’t work I give it -5 stars. You all have been warned

This camera sucks big time. It’s useless. It doesn’t connect to the App using the cloud or direct. Amazon or Ulo should refund my money. What a waste of money and time.

Intriguing concept but flawed execution. I was an early supporter but after many months of waiting the device that was delivered just didn't work. I was relocating and didn't think it was worth packing and taking along in the move. So it went in the trash. Perhaps it's improved in later versions but all I had was a device that blinked in a dumb kind of way.

It doesn't connect to my wifi. ALthough I tried several times to contact by mail they answered until the point to restart it and after that they never responded anymore. HORRIBLE customer service and totally a waste of money. I bought it in kickstarter. I'm Túlio Zaninello Penha, from Brazil.

Telecamera di qualità scadente, la batteria è sempre durata pochissimo, in pratica funziona solo attaccato alla presa.Costa tantissimo.È carino ma non vale il prezzo.Sconsigliato

The design is great, the little gimmicks of turning it upside down to enter settings and connecting the first time, are innovative and creative, as indeed are the spooky eyes following you. As a camera, which ultimately is what counts, you might as well forget it. The functionalities when it comes to the camera are virtually non-existent. More than half the time the app does not recognise the cameras at all (I had 2 of them at the same time), accessing footage live or otherwise, from outside the network, just forget it, several hours of my life I will never get back. If and when you then connect, the camera quality is appalling. Unless you have full daylight, you could hardly make out what you were looking at. I just returned both cameras.

Muy difícil he imposible de configurar. No hay manera que salga de casa habiéndolo configurado. Muy aburrido el tema y cansino hay otro modo y dice que hay que actualizarlo. Y no hay manera.

This is a really, really difficult review because Ulo itself is adorable, beautiful, engaging, fun, cute, special, clever and absolutely bursting with possibilities. For the uniqueness Ulo brings in this sterile world of smarthome dullness within which we should not have to live, I give 4 stars for the ambition, braveness and rebellion against the norm that Ulo exudes.The experience of using the app however ... is a pain that no person should have to go through. What the designer gave to the hardware, they robbed in equal measures from the onboarding experience of the app and the general usability.- The cloud and direct access UX is totally different in the app- Logging in via cloud and connecting to the WiFi, requires that you type the SSID in manually ... usually several times, and then hope that your submission has been received, for no feedback shall be forthcoming- Logging in via direct access however (on the one single occasion that I have been able to) gives you a full list of available SSIDs to choose from. If only that were in the cloud access login.- The app has no sense of home, the solitary burger menu that is provided to manage the device settings only appears when you have accessed the Ulo and start live streaming. (changing the iris colour, shape & pupil size is stunningly impressive btw)- Alert mode On actually means that the camera is available to stream- Alert mode Off just switches it off- The quality of the stream itself is diabolical, and there is no night vision ... that's right, no night vision so when a burglar comes into the house, he had better turn on all the lights if you want to see him- The lens angle fisheyes terribly making for a poor visual experience when you can see what's going on- Delay between the cloud and the footage being filmed is significant- Direct access appears to randomly record footage and store it locally, not so much a legal privacy concern as it's stored locally but Ulo doesn't squint its eyes (Sneaky mode) when it's recording in direct access mode like it does in cloud mode.Is this worth £220?Hmm,Hmm,Probably not, buy a QHQS robot cam if you want somethig quirky, it has 1080p (unlike this) and does 2 way audio.I really, really want it to be heaps better than it actually is. For something that has been in development for nearly 3 years now it should be a LOT better.Beautiful hardwareBeastly app
