Knowing how hot NVMe drives can get, I opted to search for one with a heatsink and fan. This fit the bill completely for my unRAID setup. The instructions are visual and not entirely clear but that didn't stop me from figuring it out. If you've put together Lego products before, this should be no problem for you. Current temps after about an hour show an 8 degree difference between my Asus Hyper M.2 adapter and this one. 44 C for the Asus Hyper M.2 with only one drive 37 C for the NGFF M.2 drive ***Update 05/10/2020*** After some time for the heatsink thermal pad to get settled, the temp savings are 3 C - 4 C compared to the Asus Hyper M.2 with only one drive. Review: The fan raises the drive temperature - + I get full speed out of the cheap NVMe drive I put in it. + I'm really happy their is a switch to turn off the LED and the Fan. - Especially the fan off as after testing for a bit because I couldn't believe it at first, the fan actually generates a lot of heat and raises drive temperature. The drive stays an average of 4c cooler with the fan turned off then when it's left on. Even without the fan the heat sink dose a great job at keeping the drive cooler. Compared to just being directly in a motherboard M.2. Slot.

The fan raises the drive temperature

Works as described
Got this for my Dell Inspiron 5675 Desktop which only had a 2 channel nvme slot built in and I wanted the full speed of my 4 channel Samsung nvme. I installed this card and heat sync and enabled uefi in the bios (required to boot from a drive on this card.) Everything went well and speeds indeed doubled (3200/2500.) Very pleased so far. Incuded screws, short mounting plate (regular plate comes pre mounted), heat sink w/fan and thermal tape, and screwdriver. Fan gets powered from the card, no need for additional power. Card only accepts one nvme as stated. Windows 10 picked it up without any additional drivers needed. Ed

One bad screw prevented this from being perfect
Everything was good about this product except for the top screw that secures the heat sink/fan to the board. There are 2 screws but on my unit the top one had been overtightened and so when I tried to unscrew it to secure the heat sink and fan part using the included screwdriver the screw wouldn't budge. Trying harder just wrecked the screw head. Using other screwdrivers I have didn't help. So the heat sink can’t actually touch my M.2 drive which I can only conclude limits the cooling ability. The lower screw loosened very easily so I can only conclude my unit has a defect. On the plus side it still cools my M.2 drive much better than without it.

HLT NGFF(M.2) NVME PCI-E SSD to PCI-E 3.0X 4X Adapter with Cooling Fan
I've tried 3 different m.2 coolers, This is really the only one that not only works, but works great. It was able to drop temps by 20c and even when more heat is introduced in to the case it is able to keep up.
