I ordered this from RAREWAVES.com, Ltd.
MOST helpful comment I can make is:Look at the color-adjusted CD's song-listing!1.) Original recordings.2.) Original artists.3.) IF you were in school during the '60s, you'll recognize songsyou've not heard in years.4.) I certainly WASN'T expecting S0Oo many songs I recognized/liked, and for less than $13 !5.) The shipping was inexpensive, considering it's sent from GreatBritain.6.) I live in Germany, and got this nine-days ahead of schedule.7. MY favorite artists' songs include, but, not limited to:THE BYRDS; LOVIN' SPOONFUL; THE BOX TOPS; GUESS WHO; YARDBIRDS; FLEETWOOD MAC; SANTANA; PAUL REVERE & THE RAIDERS; BIG BROTHER & THE HOLDING COMPANY featuring Janis Joplin; BOBBY DARIN; DEL SHANNON; THE ARCHIES; 1910 FRUITGUM COMPANY; OHIO EXPRESS; GARY PUCKETT & THE UNION GAP; BLOOD SWEAT & TEARS; BOBBY VINTON; NEIL SEDAKA; LEE DORSEY; THE TOKENS; LOU CHRISTIE; SLY & THE FAMILY STONE; DELFONICS; 5th DIMENSION; ARETHA FRANKLIN; JOHNNY NASH; HARRY NILSSON; ISLEY BROTHERS; DOBIE GRAY; José Feliciano; PERCY FAITH ORCHESTRA; HENRY MANCINI; DAVE BRUBECK QUARTET; RAMSEY LEWIS; JOHNNY CASH; JIM REEVES; ANDY WILLIAMS; TONY BENNETT; DUANE EDDY;JIMMY DEAN; JOHNNY MATHIS; PERRY COMO; TAMMY WYNETTE; HUGO MONTENEGRO' ORCHESTRA; STATLER Bros.; MARTY ROBBINS. Middle of the Road
There are five discs with each respective disc housing 20 songs. There are many songs from very respected artists whose audience is considered Middle of The Road. Voices like Perry Como, Tony Bennett, Jim Reeves, Andy Williams, Johnny Mathis, Marty Robbins, Neil Sedaka, Henry Mancini, Percy Faith & His Orchestra, Nina Simone, Doris Day, Hugo Montenegro & His Orchestra, Anita Harris, Buddy Greco, Laura Greene, Jose Feliciano, and perhaps more, however, those who are interested in these respected recording artists check the index closely as there are many songs recorded that are not necessarily how you would identify these artists. There are also a few recording artists whose names I even now have never heard of, some examples of this "The Trashman", "The Gun", "The Herd", "The End", "Clodagh Rodgers", "The Creation", "Family Dogg". There are as well those songs whose artists are akin to rock and roll success with great recordings from Scott McKenzie, The Byrds, The Moody Blues, The Lovin Spoonful, The Guess Who, Fleetwood Mac, The Yardbirds, Santana, The Lemon Pipers, Paul Revere and The Raiders, Lou Christie, The Delfonics, Sly, and The Family Stone. The Tokens, The McCoys, Jimmy Dean, The Box Tops, Skeeter Davis, The 5th Dimension, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, The Dave Brubeck Quartet Blood Sweat & Tears, Dobie Gray, Unit Four plus two, Bobby Darin, The Statler Brothers, Crispian St.Peters, Bobby Vinton, The Isley Brothers and more. I'am sure there maybe someone I did not mention however I wish to add something more, The songs sounded great. I listened to the discs and listened again , it was that enjoyable. I just wish to mention this purchase was not steep and it has brought me a good deal of pleasure.

A great collection! Includes seventy Top 40 Billboard (USA) Hits!
If you’re into oldies collections, this is a fantastic bargain! At least one reviewer here claimed that there aren’t enough hits, or that there are too many cover versions or remakes. Don’t believe it. There are a staggering 70 Top 40 Billboard (USA) hits in this collection! Yes, seventy! That number includes 51 Top 10 hits as well as 19 #1 hits! Disc 2 alone has 17 Top 10 hits! And that’s not to say that the rest of the songs aren’t any good. A few were hits in the U.K. and some, such as Kris Kristofferson’s version of Sunday Morning Comin’ Down (which he wrote), are just very good songs, regardless of their lack of success on the Billboard charts. As for cover version and remakes, that might be a reference to songs like Jose Feliciano’s version of the Doors song, Light My Fire. Feliciano’s version reached #3 in 1968, a year after the Doors topped the charts with it. Another example might be You Were on My Mind by Crispian St. Peters, which reached #36 two years after We Five had a #3 hit with it. These were legitimate Top 40 hits in their own right. Also included is Piece of My Heart by Erma Franklin (Aretha’s sister), which charted in the Top 100 (#62) in 1967, and even though most people are more familiar with Janis Joplin’s #12 hit, her version didn’t enter the Billboard charts until almost a year after Franklin’s. So it was Joplin who actually had the cover version! At any rate, as far as I can tell, I think these are all original recordings and the sound quality is very good compared to other releases I’ve heard. I paid $8.99 for this collection. As of today, I see it’s going for $11.99. But where else can you get seventy Top 40 hits for that price? Will you like every song? Probably not, but even if you only like 1 in 5, it’s still a pretty good deal. Personally, I think this set would be a steal at double the price!

I'm Blown Away!
If I could give this a 10, that's what I would give this compilation. When it says it's "the best sixties album", they mean it. Listening to this set brought back so many memories of my childhood and high school. This is and has to be the best ever 60s compilation. There's a lot of songs on here I never heard before. I normally don't buy a CD compilation if I have some of the songs on other discs. I bought this one for a few songs that I wanted but couldn't find. Check out this 5 CD set. I very much doubt you'll be disappointed. If you want a real, true blue nostalgia trip, this is the set to listen to. There's a lot of good songs on here mostly from American artists but still, it's one set to have. I more than highly recommend this one for any old timers, and anyone else, like myself who grew up in the sixties. Guarantee you will not be disappointed. I'm so happy I purchased this set.

Excellente compilation de succès UK et US des sixties
Ce Coffret comprend 5 CD avec 100 morceaux qui ont été classés dans les tops 50 UK ou US dans les 60’. J’ai choisi ce coffret pour quelques titres que je recherchais (ou que j’ai découverts) :Sur le CD1 :Du rock avec « Shakin’ all over » des Guess Who (#22 US) en juillet 1965,L’entraînant « Painter man » de Creation (#36 UK) en novembre 1966,Du blues avec « Psychotic reaction » de Count Five (#05 US) en octobre 1966,Le hit connu « Race with the devil » de Gun (#08 UK) en décembre 1968,L’amusant « Surfing bird » des Trashmen (#04 US) janvier 1964,Sur le CD2 :L’original « Captain of your ship » de Reparata & The Delrons (#13 UK) en avril 1968,Le super hit « I will follow him » de Little Peggy March (#01 US) en avril 1964,Sur le CD3 :Le mélodique « The good life » par Tony Bennett (#27 UK - #18 US) en juillet 1963,Le classique « Move over darling » (#08 UK) de Doris Day en mars 1963,Classique « Dream a little dream of me » (#33 UK) repris par Anita Harris en août1968,La ballade connue « The end of the world » (#02 US) par Skeeter Davis en mars 1963,L’instrumental « Theme from A summer place » par Percy Faith (#01 US) en 1960,Le classique « Moon river » (#11 US) de Henry Mancini en novembre 1961,Le boogie « The lady is the tramp » (#26 UK) de Buddy Greco en Juillet 1960,L’hommage « Tribute to Buddy Holly » (#24 UK) par Mike Berry en octobre 1961.Sur le CD4 :Le prenant « Peace of my heart » (#09 UK) par Erma Franklin en octobre 1992,R&B avec « It’s your thing » (#02 US) en 1969,L’égaré « Out on the floor » (#42 UK) de Dobie Gray de septembre 1975,Le classique « Cool Jerk » (#07 US) par The Capitols de juillet 1966,Le crooner Tony Bennett avec « I left my heart in San Francisco » (#25 UK) en 12/1965,Sur le CD5 :L’excellent « Stand by your man » (#01 UK) par Tammy Wynette en avril 1975,L’entraînant « Making time » de The Creation (#49 UK) en juillet 1966,Le génial « The Good, the Bad and the Ugly » (#01 UK) par H. Montenegro & Orchestra en 1968,Le country « Flowers on the wall » (#38 UK - #04 US) des Stater Brothers en mars 1966.Le dernier « Without her » de Harry Nilsson (non classé) de 1967 est très plaisant.
