I read the reviews for the system before buying it, and the other reviews appear to be very accurate. The installation is easy, I did make a small hole in my travel trailer under one of the back marker lights for power and mounted the camera in the location. The picture is very good, my system does not have lines on the monitor to help you judge distance, and the price was great compared to some of the more well known systems and it seems to be of good quality. Like some of the other reviews the only issue I have is the instructions are lacking in my opinion and could be more detailed when it comes to the operation and what some of the menu items mean. Lesson learned: Don’t change the channel in the menu options, takes a little while to figure out how to get the picture back. Also, the antenna restricts the distance you can tilt the camera up to see further back. I bought a 6 inch cable and drilled a small hole in the sun screen and mounted the antenna there and tilted the camera up so I could see a little further back.

The first one I received looked like it had been opened because the camera pairing button was broken and I didn't see the missing pieces in the box. However Amazon sent me a whole new unit in exchange for the one they sent me. The new one looks good and preliminary testing showed that everything works. My truck and travel trailer are 55 feet long and that was too much for my old wireless camera to show a clear picture. I measured 65 feet from camera to monitor and the signal strength still showed two bars. This should work just fine for me. The picture quality is much better than my old camera system but the compression algorithm muddies the picture quality a bit however it is still acceptable. I haven't tried it out in the dark yet. I plan on installing the camera on top of the trailer's roof using an electrical junction box with a hole in the roof to get inside of the cabinetry of the rig to pick up power. The box will be embedded inDicor to seal the hole from leaks. For now I give it four stars but I may modify that rating later on..

I bought this cam for my food truck that was being transformed and I purchased the camera way ahead of time before the truck was ready to be pulled out of the shop, so by the time I did, the camera was already past the return date and it wasn't working. I had some trouble trying to get a hold of Veclesus, but after I did, these guys stepped in to help, they didn't even question that the camera was past the return date and sent me a brand new camera and stuck with me until the new camera was installed and working, that's what I call Prime Customer Service. The camera is all good now and working properly. Hope stays that way for the years to come.

Quality sucks

Works great on my tractor. I use this to connect attachments on my front end loader as I can't see over my cab and hood to make the connections. Only complaint is lack of product literature. I wired the camera to a direct battery source for convenience up front an the screen receiver from an switched source in the cab. I don't know if the camera is drawing power from the battery when the unit in the cab is "off " or not which causes me to unplug the camera every night after use. If the camera is only activated remotely by the send/receive unit then I could leave the power connected. Otherwise, the clarity is good even in bright sunlight and at dusk.

It works just fine. It took me since this was my first project trying to guess which wires to hook up to make it work but I'm happy with the results! If I had to do it over again I'd hire someone that knows what they're doing. I had to do a lot of guessing to get it powered up correctly but it works well now.

It's the first backup camera system I've owned, I really Like this wireless backup camera system, they are packaged well and everything needed is always included.I also like the camera because its slightly bigger than the others so I can see behind me more clearly. The resolution of the screen is fantastic and clear. It's also great that you can change the brightness/contrast on the fly very easily with different driving conditions. I modified with connectors so that I can use in whatever vehicle I'm using or need it in. The switch on the cigarette lighter plug is a nice feature. I will continue to use these cameras, they have been a great product and a great value for the money.

The installation instructions are non-existent. The pairing instructions are good but it relies on your ability to install it correctly. For example, on the wiring on the trailer to power things are green, black and white wires, the camera has red and black wires but the polarity of the camera wires are a guessing game. The instructions with the camera are operating instructions. And if you use the cigarette lighter to power the display, there is a secret button you have to push to power the system on. A secret because it wasn't in the instructions. If you buy this you will probably need to go to an RV dealer and spend several hundred dollars getting the camera installed.
