Magnets too weak
As I related in my previous review, the magnets are too week and they don't hold the shade to the metal around the window.

The little magnets work
When I first opened the package, the suction cups fell out and I didn't see any magnets. I said, "What the f***, I wanted something with magnets!" Calm down. These shades DO have magnets but also come with suction cups to hold the lower portion of the shade to your window if required. I don't need them to hold the shade snug on the window frame. The little magnets are powerful, hidden in the seam along the top portion. They move within the fabric so you can position them where you like. I think two or three more magnets would hold better, but I will add some myself. I will also sew the existing magnets into place so they don't shift from their optimum placement. I have been driving with the passenger side shade permanently attached, but I don't drive with the passenger window open as the shade almost flew out the first time I tried. I can see through the shade, but I feel more comfortable driving with the driver side shade off. As for cooling off the car, I don't feel they make a huge difference, but then again we have been in the grip of a multi week heat wave. They do darken the interior of the car, so the upholstery is protected from the sun's rays.
