Butter Dish Cobalt Blue Glass

Lovely, vintage look, and a sturdy heavy weight. Goes through the dishwasher, top rack, nicely. This has a permanent place on my kitchen island. In New England, an unwrapped stick of butter does not get refrigerated; it gets used, and softer butter is kinder to our breads and muffins. We Yankees know the essentials of fine dining. My mother, in her 80s, no longer opines that I have the manners of a hobo.

I bought three different butter dishes at once so we would always have one ready when the others were in the washer. This is my favorite one. It's pretty and blue. But the best thing is that this is the easiest one to pick up out of the butter drawer. Easily fits in one hand so the top is securely held on when picking it up. The other two I got always feel like the top is going to slip and I'm going to drop them in the way to the counter. I love this one.

This is a really pretty cobalt blue butter dish! I love it. However, I noticed blue glass chips in the butter right away...then found a chipped edge on the top/cover part of the dish. Fortunately for me, I have a glass grinder and was able to grind it down so it's safe and functional now. I do love the look of it and it works great...just be careful and check the edges before you use it!

I love the color of this dish and it's beautiful. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing though. A standard stick of butter does not fit. Even though it is beautiful, I don't think it's worth the price.

I love it. The butter dish is perfect to hold one quarter pound stick of butter. The cobalt blue color matches all the other cobalt blue items I have in my kitchen.

This dish is beautiful. Made of solid, heavy glass. Sadly, the top was slightly cracked when it arrived. Happily, I called the seller and she immediately sent a replacement,meh inch arrived in excellent shape. With regard to other comments: a stick of butter fits perfectly.

It's a beautiful butter dish but should have paid attention to other reviews before purchasing. Had to return, the lid and dish are too small/ skinny for a standard size (store bought) butter cube. And the seller makes you pay for return shipping, so really not worth it!
