Exhaust D-Fit Muffler Kit -Tools

I spent a lot of time reviewing all the different manufacturer's of performance exhaust mufflers and decided to go with the Carven Progressve for my 2017 Ram Rebel. I based the decision on quality and design, ease of installation, cost, and most of all the nice deep tone it gives. This is not a cheap install, . It fit perfect, no mickey mouse. You use your original rubber hangers, just white grease the hanger pins to aid the removal and reinstall. Alignment was a breeze. The clamps they supply are rugged high quality and do the job.When I first started the truck in my garage, I thought it was a little loud, of course it was cold. As it warmed it changes to a nice deep rumble. Sounds great accelerating going through the gears. It is a little louder in cab but not bad at all. I did not notice any drone. No rasp. Want to hear that hemi, here you go!

Shipping was faster than expected and arrived without any damage. Carven leaves a bit to be desired as far as packaging.I installed it today... Took about 2 hours. I didn't even mess with trying to unbolt the old clamps... Just used a cut-off tool and got those rusty clamps out of the way. WD-40 is your friend for removal of old system and rubber hangers. I took my time and worked like a gentleman. Install was super easy. Get the muffler in place, lined up and tight. I removed the tips from my tailpipes and got the driver's side in first then just snugged it up. Then the passenger side... Again just snugging up the clamp. I made sure the tailpipes were the same distance from the bumper and tightened both clamps. Don't worry about the pipes being center to the bumper cutouts because when you reinstall your tips, there is a ton of adjustment for alignment due to the tips being a ball sockets connection. The work is well worth the reward.Sounds amazing!!!Hope this helps someone out.

I certainly like the muffler, perfect sound without being obnoxious and slightly louder than stock at idle but gets nasty when your on throttle, I just finished installing it.but getting the shipment 20 days later after I ordered is kind of ridiculous. Item said it was available and I assumed 7-9 days shipping to Alaska but 20 days is crazy even for Alaska standards.

Great product great seller !!!! Sounds incredible !!! Seems highest of quality materials and workmanship!!! Well worth the money as far as I am concerned !!! Pretty easy install … although truck is pretty new so that definately helped… Installed in bout an hour in the driveway w minimum tools… had a hanger remover tool and some wd 40 ready to go … Hangers were the trickiest part but not bad !!! Great muffler and a great price at the time !!! I see it just jumped up some after I bought !!! Buy one you wont regret it !!!

I had reviewed several mufflers for my 2014 Ram 1500 (5.7 Hemi). I was between this one and the Flowmaster FlowFX. I chose this one just for that slightly deeper roar. I am thrilled with my decision. The cold start sounds awesome. The tone calms down until you start driving. There is a noticeable tone/drone at about 1500 RPMs around 45-50mph. Once you hit a cruising speed the drone goes away. You can still hear the tone in the cabin but it is nothing crazy. This is my first aftermarket exhaust and I think I made a great decision. The muffler makes my truck stand out but not annoyingly loud. Install only took about 15 min. Taking the old muffler off took about 1.5 hours due to the old nuts rusted and they essentially broke. Ended up just cutting off the old clamps.

The exhaust sounds awesome!!! Buy it from here over the actual carven website. Carven take their sweet ass time sending it out. This company sent it out the next day and was on my doorstep shortly. Removal of old exhaust and installation of new exhaust took 38 minutes to do. Was very easy to do. Would look on YouTube and watch videos so you know exactly how to do and what you need to do it. I can tell you a 15mm socket and ratchet is all it took me to do this install. Also recommend using wd40 on all connections and hangers.

All the wildlife moved out of my neighborhood, but other than that this thing is great. Nice deep tone at low speeds, NASCAR quality scream at high RPMsEasier to install the new muffler than it was to get the old one off.Not a lot of highway drone on my bone-stock RAM with 20” rims, your mileage may vary (see what I did there)If you want to REALLY enjoy the sounds drive around without ECO and in Tow/Haul mode. Much louder inside the truck than I anticipated. My decimeter registered 93dB in ECO mode at part throttle with a bunch of drone that shook the rear view mirror. Sounds great and built well with high quality stainless steel.I wouldn’t drive around with this muffler installed while having an infant sleeping in the truck. It also might be a little too loud in the early morning hours for the neighbors.4 stars for excessive interior drone, minor exhaust leak on both outlets and muffler hanger position affects the exhaust tip position to where they appear off center.Would I buy from Carven again: Definitely
