TRUTHEAR x Crinacle Zero: BLUE2 Dual Dynamic Drivers in-Ear Headphone with Detachable Cable (3.5mm+mic Cable)

Real buyer here, 24 years old and I play a lot of COD, also love listening to music everyday. So for 50-60 bucks, I was pleasantly surprised. I wanted to buy on a budget, I was boutta buy a $130 pair of IEMs, but i bought these instead, and per the reviews, I was curious if it lived up to the hype. It does. My music sounds clearer than my airpods. And I can game on COD, hearing the movement a lot better than my typical headphones I have on hand. 10/10. That being said, I haven’t really owned any professional grade headphones, and I’m no expert. Just an average joe. But I find these to be really really nice. The memory foam eartips seem to be super fragile tho. But I don’t use em anyway. They give you like 3-4 options of both types, as well as a Bass+ connection if you’re trying to experience that. The volume button works for my iphone so that’s great, just not for my PS5 controller. Not really a huge thing. but worth mentioning.

Being a Crinacle collab, sound quality is the first thing to talk about. The tuning and tone is interesting. I'm getting pretty warm bass and there's plenty of it. I did noticed a slight lack of low end resolution on some songs, but I'm comparing these to IEMs that are 2-3x the price. The fact that I have to use those to compare says a lot. Mids are slightly pulled back but not veiled at all. Plenty of detail in vocals and instruments in this range. Treble is forward, but not shouty or sibilant. Good control with a little bit of sparkle. Just enough to make things exciting. Soundstage is fine for an IEM, either average or slightly above average compared to other closed back IEMs, but that's not really saying a whole lot. On the other hand, imaging is quite good and there's also fantastic separation between instruments. That's more important for an IEM anyway. These are v-shaped so I wouldn't use them for any analytical listening or mixing, but the tuning is quite entertaining for enjoying music. Obviously, anything synthesized sounds great, but I don't think the mids are so pulled back that they make genres like classical or jazz sound unnatural. Now onto the non SQ things. I'm not sure who the bass boost adapter is for, as these have more than enough low end response, but who's gonna dock points for something that's included? It's there if you want it. The cable itself is mostly fine. It's a pretty standard twisted pair cable with good thickness. Out of the box, I think I'll have to mess around with the ear loops a decent amount to get it to fit around my ears properly. They're light enough to where this doesn't cause any discomfort, it just annoys me that they're not fitting as well as my other sets. Some heat and bending would do the trick. The housings are pretty chunky, but again these are pretty light so I didn't find it uncomfortable or bothersome. As with any headphones/IEMs, your YMMV when it comes to comfort and fit. I bought at launch for around $70 and these are worth the blind buy. I think they punch at a level of least double that price.

I’m incredibly picky when it comes to sound - these IEMs sound amazing with a good quality 3.5mm to USBC DAC ($15 add on) on my iPhone. I’m hearing details in songs that are completely lost on Bluetooth headsets due to compression. They’re super comfortable, high quality and beat any Bluetooth headset. I wore them on my flight today and they actually cancel out the noise even though they’re not ANC. I have a high end ANC I always wear on flights but did not feel the need to use them. I’m using an XLR converter/amp to connect them to my bass amp / pre amp and they sound amazing! Non regret purchase.

Size: 3.5 of 5. Very bulky compared to other IEM. Fit: 3.5 of 5. The provided ear tips work but may not be the right fit for everyone. With a good fit, most external noises are suppressed/blocked. I think a primary issue comes from the spout size as it is larger than many IEMs on the market and could result in feeling pressure/fatigue from its excess size. Audio 4/5: Clear, clean. The quality of recording is distinguishable. If a track is high quality, it will sound like it. If the quality of recording has other noises (background, hisses, etc), it may be more noticeable. Cellphone Audio with JM6 Pro: Audio sounds good. I don't notice much difference when compared to Akoustyx R-120 (used with USB-C audio cable, no adapter). Comparison: When compared to Audio-Technica ATH-M40X and Sennheiser HD 6XX, using a Schiit DAC and Amplifier, Blue2 (w/o JM6 Pro) sounds recessed and not as pronounced/clear. There is a price difference between all of these, with Blue2 on the lower end. It's not 1:1 comparison between this line up; however, I hope you find this useful.

Got these with the mic cable included. They sound absolutely incredible and the price is great. They took a few days to get used to wearing, but now I don't even notice they're on. The built in mic also sounds great, although a bit quite. Works great for phone or Discord calls and gaming.

The TRUTHEAR x Crinacle Zero: BLUE is a bit of a mixed bag. Sound Quality: In terms of music, they are "OK" for the price. They offer good clarity and the bass separation is well-done. However, be careful with the silicone tips—the treble can get quite piercing and uncomfortable after a while. Cables: The standard cable is decent, but the version with the microphone feels like a step down in quality compared to the one without it. Build Quality & Durability (The Dealbreaker): This is where I had a major issue. The IEMs themselves are very lightweight, but the cable is surprisingly heavy. Because of this imbalance, the weight of the cable kept pulling the earphones off my desk. Eventually, they fell, and the shell shattered. The resin feels very thin and fragile for a product at this price point. If you’re looking for something durable, I wouldn't recommend these. They sound good, but the construction just didn't last.

Fit is adjustable. There are multiple ear tips to choose from to suit your ears. I got the version with the mic, and the volume control does NOT work with the iPhone 15 Pro Max. I tested both the Apple 3.5mm-to-USB-C adapter and the JM6 Pro dongle—recommended by Crinacle on his channel—but the volume control was not functional. The color is like a gradient of the Blues and Reds from the previous IEM models. Build quality is very good—cables, IEMs, packaging, etc. The reason I’m giving this such a low rating: I believe either TRUTHEAR or Crinacle didn’t even test the mic quality. Nor did any other reviewers I’ve seen. I used both the Apple adapter and the JM6 Pro dongle, with no “bass booster” attached. I bought this because it was advertised as a gaming IEM with a mic… Nope. You’re essentially mute—when you crank up the gain, the other end hears only noise, not your voice. In the end, both the volume control and the mic are technically non-functional. It does come with a mic/volume control cable and a regular cable. So now, I am just using the regular cable. Honestly, if you already own the Blues or the Reds, you don’t need this. To me, they sound the same—and I’m no audiophile to notice the 0.01% difference in sound. Unless you have smaller ear canals, these might be more comfortable for you than the previous Blues and Reds IEMs.

This isn't going to be a super in-depth review, and TRUTHfully (get it?) not the most accurate review, but I bought these for my sister as a birthday gift, she has probably into the thousands of songs on her zune and I previously got her a portable CD player, and she mainly uses airpods and large speakers at home (where the zune lives), so safe to say I wanted her to complete the audio setup. I watched her unbox it and it came with the funniest adapter, a bass adapter, an adapter that gives you upgraded bass. First ever seeing that. But the only things I can say personally is that: a) they are absolutely STUNNING in person, many IEMs are like that, but the iridescent butterfly look to it, combined with the pretty cable makes it like nerd jewelery. And b) my sister said to me a few weeks in that she loves them as they are the best earbuds she has ever used. From what other reviews I saw, they apparently have the "flavored" sound, where there's a bump in bass and a lil one in treble, not enough to be disgusting but enough to be tasty to the brain. People who want critical listening probably won't be fond of the increased bass, but to me it's like how I love Pizza Hut, it is absolutely gluttonous and many hate the taste. But to me that one day where I get to slam my stomach with salty and trashy pizza is okay. So if you want to please the average audio listener, like your mum or your dad these are solid because my sister (average listener) enjoyed them. In the future I'll probably buy one myself and edit this review.

I've bought these as a replacement for my Klipsch X11, which finally broke, and they are quite middle-of-the-road ok. * Sound quality: Acceptable, especially for the price, but lack some clarity * fit: too big for me. The openings of the headphones themselves are very big, especially compared to my (admittedly tiny) previous headphones, and with the tips, they feel noticeable in my ear canal and get uncomfortable after a while. I think in the long run, I would prefer headphones with smaller openings for a more comfortable fit. I also find the over-ear design of the wires works only moderately well for my ears: the curve is too big, so that they keep falling off my ears and then pull on the headphones, which isn't ideal. * durability: They seem quite durable. I'm not gentle on my headphones, and especially the cables have always been a weak point for me. I like that the headphones are detachable and so the cables can be replaced, which should extend their lives considerably. The cables themselves seem sturdy and durable, and so far I've not had an issue. They do occasionally tangle, but not as badly as other headphones I've had. Overall, would recommend unless you have small ears. For the price, they're quite good quality and durable.
