Tone really settles in after about 100 hours on the tubes
After about 100 hours on the tube the tone finally warms up and gets less piercing and shrill. Sweet spot on all the knobs has been 4-6 or 10 o clock to 2 o clock

Great Tone & Lugable
I purchased this amplifier for both its great tone, and the fact that it doesn't weight a ton. At 68 years of age, I'm frankly not able to lug around most of the amps I've accumulated in my 54 years as a guitar player. The Origin 20 is at the upper limit of my weight requirement. I looked at the Origin 50 as well, but in doing research I found that the only differences are a larger Audio Output Transformer, and a 12-inch Speaker on the Origin 50. Hence, more power output. I suspect that the Origin 50 may run the Plate/Screen Voltage on the Output Tubes at a higher level. When schematics become readily available we will know for sure.I've been running an array of guitars through the Origin 20 and so far it sounds best to me using an ES-335 clone with upgraded pickups(Grote 335 w/Dimebag Bridge and Vintage Epi Humbucker Neck), and a LP Standard. For Single Coils it's great with the P-90s in my Casino and LP Junior.I miss having Reverb, the only effect I've ever used. Initially, I tried my Behringer V-Verb Pro in the Effects Loop. Although it's a good quality rack mount reverb, it was noisy in this application. I then opted for an old Toneworks AX1G Multi Effects Pedal that I haven't used for years. After some adjustments, it sounds good. Ideally I'd like to have a outboard Tube Spring Reverb, but they're as much as the amp! Later I'll try to buy a quality Reverb Pedal based on an Accutronics Reverb Chip (or build one from a kit).Since I heard "John Mayall's Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton" many years ago, I've been searching for that tone. I couldn't afford a 1962 Marshall Combo, so it took some looking. Prior to the Origin 20, the closest I've come was with a vintage Dean Markley Signature Series 60 Amp Head (used by Clapton) to 2 each 12" Celestion G12M Speakers. Now I've finally got the tone in a package I can carry! Thank you Marshall (and Amazon).

First new amp
I like the fact that it is mobile ( not heavy) and has a good sound. It is my first new amp and I like it but I also have my Fender hot rod DeVille . I'll be using it for church worship songs and of course practice , love the power attenuation on it.

Great tube amp. Low Price. Vintage Marshall Plexi Tone
Really like this amp. Expressive. Cleans up well. Boost gives good grind. May need extra boost or distortion for metal, but perfect for my needs. It is made in Vietnam. I don't know how much about reliability, but so far I LOVE it. It is pretty light and about the same size and weight as a Fender Princeton reissue, but $250 less. 649 USD is not a lot to pay for an amp with EL34 power and three EC883 (12AX7) preamp tubes. The fit and finish is very nice. I have been into vintage fenders amps for a long time and have a silverface Deluxe Reverb, Champ, Bantam (tube rectified Bassman circuit with a new baffle and old Celestion Vintage 30 12" speaker in place of the funky trapezoidal Yamaha speaker). All of these are great amps with classic Fender tone. I have played Marshalls before, but did not have room for stack or half-stack. The Marshall Origin 20c is a great entry point to get that classic Marshall sound. I have gigged with it already and it is plenty loud for small to medium clubs. Also, the built in attenuator (or some sort of power management) lets you select from low, medium, and high power - up to 20 watts. Great for bedroom practice. I hope it holds up. It is great so far.

It’s a Marshall.
I love it. It’s a Marshall. That tells it all. I don’t care where it’s made. Excellent sound quality and craftsmanship. I like the send/return fx loop and the fact that it does not require biasing when you replace the power tubes (paired). Another good feature is knob for tilt, and of course the selectable power switch. I use the 3W and 0.5W most of the time as 20W setting is too loud for home use.

Love this amp!
I debated on the 20C vs the 20H. While I'm a fan of head/cabinet setups, I decided to get the combo and I've been very happy. It's got a great clean tone and the boost works well. I put my delay and reverb pedals in the FX loop and life is great. Absolutely love this amp! It sounds great, especially with my Les Paul.

Great tone and functionality
The tone and setup of the Marshall Origin is phenomenal. All the features of the fx loop, one channel, and three wattage settings. Exactly what I was looking for when purchasing this amp.

Great sound/price ratio
This sounds like a vintage Marshall. Could use a 12” speaker but it sounds pretty good with the 10” for the money. It’s a basic, one trick pony. The gain is not high like a modern Marshall. If you want higher gain you may also need a clean boost pedal.
