Anyone with plantar fasciitis recommend these? I have Chacos but still am not a fan of the toe strap, two years later.

I've had them for 4 years now. I am used to wearing orthotic shoes with a sturdy arch support. These sandals have average arch support. So if you are like me and need firm and reliable arch support (because I have plantar fasciitis in both feet), then these won't be enough. They do have a FANTASTIC heel cup that absorbs a lot of impact which is where it hurts the most for plantar sufferers. Hwy have great traction in water (lakes or streams) and on water (puddles), and that stability is welcomed by all who buy these shoes I'm sure. With good handwashing, I feel they would be a good dependable pair of recreational sandals for average needs. They can be helpful for family friendly hikes, but for tougher terrain, NOTE ON CHACO SANDALS: These sandals offer superior arch support. You can buy them WITHOUT the toe strap that many do not like. That would be the Z1 or Z Cloud lines. I would recommend the Chaco brand of sandals. They are more expensive ; around $100), but well worth heat cost if you need something that is going last 5-10 years and offer extra firm arch support.

Do these run true to size?

Mine definitely ran true to size and are very comfortable.

Great alternative for non-flip flop wearers

Fantastic sandal! Comfortable right from the start, even with my high instep, quirky toes and bunions. A great alternative for those of us who can't, or don't choose to wear flip-flops. Plus, it's a good looking shoe -- sort of utilitarian-chic. I bought it for the beach but could wear it to casual restaurants as well.

Whow, auch für schmale Füße geeignet, schick und superbequem

Diese Treckingsandaletten sind wundervoll. Sie sind sehr leicht, haben ein gut vorgeformtes Fußbett und alle Riemchen sind verstellbar, sodass man die Sandalette auf die Bedürfnisse des eigenen Fußes gut anpassen kann. Für schmale Füße ist dies sehr wichtig um nicht hin und her zu rutschen und die Klettverschlüsse sind einfach und bequem handzuhaben. Die Riemchen sind zierlich, nicht so klobig wie sonst bei Treckingsandalen. Ich werde mir allerdings die Klettvorrichtungen am Vorfuß vom Schuster um 2 cm versetzen lassen, da ich sie so weit zuzurren muss, und "unverändert" zu wenig Klettauflage habe. Das ist aber kien Problem, schnell und kostengünstig erledigt. Am Besten ist aber die Farbe - sie ist einfach wundervoll, eher Himbeer-Koralle als pink (für "pink" fehlt meines Erachtens der blaustich) - endlich mal raus aus dem "Einheitsgrau"!!! Die Farbe ist wie abgebildet, der Schuh ist super und modisch, auch bei empfindlichen, sehr schmalen, knochigen Füßen "ohne spann" (wie meinen). Auch zum sportlichen Sommerkleidchen tragbar (zum Etuikleid aber dann doch eher nicht). Die Sohle ist kräftig (man wird 2 cm größer) und hat ein gutes Profil, sie ist aber flexibel genug um gut darin zu laufen; man spürt kein Steinchen. Ich bin rundherum zufrieden. Ein Super Schuh zu einem guten Preis. Blitzlieferung, was will man mehr? "Danke Treckingstar - Danke amazon!!!" Achtung, Meine Füße sind 24 cm lang und ich trage normalerweise Gr. 38. Musste hier aber die Gr. 39 (US Gr. 8) kaufen. Habe woanders Gr. 38 anprobiert - war mir etwas zu kurz! Bei Treckingsandalen sollten die Zehenspitzen niemals direkt am Rand sein (Verletzungsgefahr auf Wanderungen).

Great price, excellent sandals

Excellent sandals at an excellent price - they were about 40% cheaper than any bricks and mortar store that stocks them near me. I was a bit worried about sizing based on other reviews so found a store that stocked the whole sizes. I am usually a 7-7.5 and I found the 7 slightly small so ordered a 7.5. They fit perfectly. I love the fact you can adjust all of the straps to fit as I have a high arch and sometimes that causes issues with fit. I also read some people had issues with rubbing and blisters so tested them out using my treadmill. They are as comfy as my trainers and I had no issues at all doing a half hour walk at 5.5km/hr. I did this daily, for a week before my holidays, to be on the safe side and continued to have no issues. These will be my go-to for any long walks.
