"This is an excellent backpack clearly of a high production quality. It carries all of my supplies for school (a ton of books, papers, and folders, as well as some clothes) with some room to spare, without looking packed. It has ample space and functionality while still looking stylish and minimal. It doesn't have the excess of zippers, useless compartments, or the long adjustment straps that are hallmarks of "freshman" backpacks. I purchased the "Plus Series" version of this backpack directly from Herschel's website in August 2015.(Heritage Backpack | Plus × 1 Default / Black/3M Rubber / 18"(H) x 12"(W) x 5.5"(D), 20L)One year later (Aug 2016) after use as my daily NYC commuter bag a hole rubbed through the bottom of the bag (see photo). I submitted a warranty claim through Herschel's website in September of 2016 and was denied within a couple of days:"At this time this item will not qualify for our limited lifetime warranty as our warranty does not apply to damage caused by accidents, misuse and/or general wear and tear."If Herschel thinks that their "Plus Series" backpacks should last less than one year due to wear and tear, then I am deeply disappointed in Herschel as a whole. The statement on their website "We stand behind the quality of our products with a Limited Lifetime Warranty" is a hollow and inauthentic promise. I expected more out of the "Plus Series" line of Herschel's backpacks and will not purchase in the future with the knowledge that their most "premium" line of backpacks will wear down within a year's time.This bag was certainly not worth the $74.99 I paid for it.

I really like the bag. I have a 14 in laptop that I have to carry around which fits nicely in the bag. I was afraid that the bag might have a tear because of the laptop and a textbook, but it seems like it's study enough. I like the design and color. I got a black one, but the blue navy might've been nice too. The only thing I don't like is the little fabric covering the zipper because it feels a little too big, and it sometimes feels like a hassle to flip back the fabric and reach into the main compartment or the pocket. Also, if you are a person who utilizes pockets a lot, keep in mind that this product has only one pocket (but it's pretty spacious).

I actually think I received the wrong backpack? I think I got the "Pop Quiz Multipurpose" backpack in the same color that I ordered, but it looked close enough so I didn't bother exchanging it or anything. Anyways, I got this backpack back in 2014 and used it everyday for a solid 2 years. It's great and I would highly recommend it. Of course, eventually there were some holes in the bottom, but I guess that's to be expected after carrying around textbooks everyday for 2 years. Anyways, I took off a star because I got the wrong backpack, but it was still very high quality, so no complaints here :)

Great quality backpack at a great price. Not to mention that it looks good too. Material is heavy duty so it can stand up to the elements. A versatile backpack as well that can be used in numerous circumstances and situations. My only thing is that the laptop sleeve on the inside doesn't provide much protection from other contents in the back as well as keeping it snug for when you move around a lot. Best advice is that you get an external laptop sleeve to go around your laptop and put it the laptop sleeve. Otherwise top marks for a backpack at this price point.

For Amazon Prime Day my teenage son only wanted one thing and this was it. I guess this backpack must be the rage among kids his age or something so I pulled up a You Tube review and it seemed like a solid and minimalistic backpack that had a lot of style and practicality. Well it arrived today and I must say I was impressed with the way it looked! Especially the leather bottom which seems very sturdy. I could tell he was very happy to get it plus we saved $20 during Prime Day!

So far a great fit and perfect size for commuting. Use it while cycling and it is comfortable and not too bulky. The inside water bottle holder and "laptop sleeve" is nice for extra compartment. Hoping it holds up as I love the style and comfort!

Bought this for my teenage son and he LOVES it!!! He wanted a 'cool' backpack and this fits the bill. I guess Hershel is all the rage now. I don't think it was too much money for what you get, it only has the front pocket and he is ok with that, I've spent a lot more money on backpacks and quite frankly they all do the same thing so it's good. Hopefully it will hold up for a year of High School.

High quality, sturdy construction and looks sharp. This backpack might just survive several years of abuse...I mean use!

I bought mine back in Feb of 2017 (it's now July 2018). It looks brand new. I have traveled with it and let my 13 year old son take it to DC and NY from LA. Still new.
