Horror sequel starring Donnie Wahlberg and Shawnee Smith. While investigating the bloody aftermath of a grizzly murder, Detective Eric Mason (Wahlberg) has the feeling that it is the work of Jigsaw (Tobin Bell), the notorious killer who disappeared leaving a trail of bodies - and parts - behind. And Mason is right. Jigsaw is at work again. But instead of two people locked in a room with only one unthinkable way out, there are eight. Eight strangers, unaware of their connection to each other, forced to play out a game that challenges their wits and puts their lives in jeopardy.

FAV SAW
I think rarely the first is best but could be argued with Godfather or Star Wars, but using the blueprint of first you can usually electrify the sequel and i feel this movie embodys that. It has my most gruesome scene thrown in needles but the story is personal with a samalyn like ending as Jigsaw does not Lie. Classic and half dead jigsaw proofs he has plenty of games to play without needing sci fi like hellraiser powers although i dont discount that series as another great ala Hulu. Too bad I doubt the series could go on unless Og jigsaw shows another mentee that continued his tale his way unless OG James Wan came back?

Another saw hit with more to come!!
More gore. Twists and tuns and the scariest part istha itcouldactually happen. It took some really twisted minds to come up with this horror. Stephen King can’t even touch this. Still, I’ve seen them all and would love the writers and pick their brains the way they picked away at my ‘it couldn’t get any worse’ sense of security. They are probably cool people and definitely talented how would you like to go on a camping trip with them and listen to them tell scary stories?

Great Movie
I have always loved the Saw movies and decided to buy the unrated version and it does have a lot of the deleted parts ofthe movie in it. After this I will always buy the unrated or director's cut.

Great Sequel to Saw
Really enjoyed this film. A great follow up to the first movie. The traps are clever and the twist at the end is genuinely surprising. I really enjoyed this!

Decent but Gruesome Sequel!
I did see the original Saw film years and years ago and remembered I enjoyed it (or at least enjoyed hating the horror of it!) then saw part of one of the sequels not long ago and thought I may as well get the whole set of films and watch them in order for a mass gross-out.This first sequel I think is actually really good - it extends and evolves the overall narrative of serial killer 'Jigsaw' from the previous film, so it has both a strong sense of continuity and development, whilst also offering up a new setting along with a new dynamic - this time there are 7 victims all locked inside a house of horrors together and the house is filled with a nerve agent that is slowly killing them and leaves them with just two hours to work through Jigsaw's traps to survive. This gives room for some fairly standard 'lets work together' vs 'lets screw each other over' dynamics to play out amongst the moral messages woven into each victim's plight, but with a few good surprises along the way.The setting is very dank, dark and claustrophobic - the perfect backdrop for the gruesome new traps set by Jigsaw. As with the first film, some of these are very inventive and clever, some are just absolutely hideous and seemingly devised simply to be more horrific than those seen in the first film, and some are both! There were one or two where I had to cover my eyes for the anticipated climax of the trap but still felt just as grossed out and horrified as though I'd been brave enough to watch it fully - Saw is very good at this; even if you don't see it or if they don't show it fully, your mind fills in the gaps from the implied and you experience the full horror of it anyway. It's a lose-lose scenario (or a win-win, depending on your outlook!). The suspense is also always done very well - the build up to someone trying to outsmart the trap before it snuffs them out is sometimes excruciating, even though you feel sure you know what the outcome is going to be.Giving an additional angle to the film is the fact that all of this is being filmed on CCTV like some very twisted version of Big Brother and being watched in real time by a police force who are trying their best to work out where this is taking place so they can rescue the victims within the house. The detective leading the team then discovers his son is one of the 7 victims and this increases the tension of them desperately trying to get to the house before it's too late. This extra element was very well thought out as it takes us out of the house so that the film doesn't feel as claustrophobic as the house of horrors does and also brings an extra layer to both Jigsaw and the film dynamic that stops it just being a sequel-by-numbers gore-fest.A grim but brilliant sequel!

Was not as good as the last one but still good.
For all those people that have slated this movie, I must say if you don't like it fair does but why convince everyone else it was crap when it is actually quite a good film. Lets face it all second films based on a good original horror film have been a complete waste of time; scream 2, final destination 2......need I say more, saw 2 puts these sequal horror films to shame.I agree that its not as good as the first one, but that is mainly because when the original saw appeared no one had seen anything like this and therefore, didnt know what to expect. The whole point of the saw films is NOT TO SCARE YOU as a typical horror film, but to make you cringe at the aspect of dying in such unhumanly ways which is what many people find scary about those films as it makes you think what you would do in that situation or if you died in that gruesome way.As far as the plot is concerned some of the deaths are predicatble, I personally did not predict the ending, nor did anyone else I know who went to go see it. The activities for each individual character are what makes the film gruesome; lets face it who in they're right mind would want to be thrown into a pit of used needles?!I say a good film, definantly worth a watch, however if you're not a horror/thriller movie buff I'd rent it first, but for everyone else its one of the best sequals in horror films ive seen.
