Eafengrow EF3 Folding Pocket Knife D2 Steel Blade G10 Handle Outdoor Hunting Camping EDC Tool Knifes

Don't know if it really is D2, but it can take a truly razor like edge. Out of the box, this could shave a few hairs off my arm, but not very well. About 30 passes per side on a natural 10,000 grit stone at about 15 degrees per side past "flat" and a dozen more passes on a leather strop, it now will shave clean, cuts loosely held paper, etc. About as sharp as anything I own needs to be. Will update after I try some reasonably demanding tasks with it. As far as the mechanics, first omega spring knife I've handled. It works, locks of solidly, no play. Can easily "flip" it open after pulling back the lock. Both springs present, no rust, blade was lightly oil coated and the pivot, etc. also. I am happy. Interested to see how sharp it is after taking apart a deer. (Edit) After wearing in for a week, this flipped open or closed as well as my coordination allowed. I would advise preemptive locktite treatment for the screws. Especially on the pocket clip, mine came loose after about a month. It's not crazy hard steel like my Japanese kitchen knives, but quite hard enough. Resharpened fairly easily- Between sharpenings, responds to honing on a (completely smooth) RHC 64 cabinet scraper burnishing tool. (Second edit) I bought another one in yellow, it is a better color for visibility than the somewhat pale orange of the first knife (which disappeared while hinting- ####!). I was curious to check if this IS really D2, I had it X-Ray Flouroscope annalyzed at a metal recycle business. Short answer: NO. See additional picture of readout, there are substantial differences between this alloy and D2. The analysis software thinks it's similar to to Cronidur bearing steel- Which is a VERY durable alloy and pretty corrosion resistant... Honestly, if they were using that type of steel and advertised it truthfully? I would have been interested in buying one just to check blade material performance. Still a fine beater pocket knife, takes a good edge and holds it. And at $25 US, I only swore a little when the first one disappeared. Tool fills my needs.

I will admit that when I saw this knife I was sure it was a junk knife because there were no logos or names on the knife, only D2 stamped on blade. I ordered it to prove to myself I was correct. The knife came in today so I had to write this review. The knife is very well made, has no sharp edges on anything except the blade edge Opens very smooth and locks very good.I have not used it much but it has proven to me to be a great knife. I realy don't know where is was made but it has very good quality and workmanship.I believe this knife will be my EDC and you will also. you will not be disapointed with anything with this knife.I'am over 60 years old and have a lot of experence with knives. (This is an updated review) After putting this knife through some rough work for 2 days. I found the blade held up good, buy the handles came loose and I took the knife apart and found the screws going into the steel liner came loose and striped out.Eafengrow said they will send me new screws and spacers.So you may want to take your knife apart and use blue thread lock on screws. This is still a good knife. I will be using it again when I get it back together.

I've only had this knife for about a month now but I have been using it everyday as a handyman and has been great. I cannot say how long it will last but it was only $26. I don't think it is really D2 since I have had to sharpen it every weekend but I am able to get a fantastic hait whittling edge so the heat treat has to be pretty good. Overall it has been a very sturdy knife and there is zero blade play as well as a centered blade in the closed position.It is a bit heavy and the "axis" lock copy they added is very stiff even after taking it apart, lubing adjusting etc. But for $26 I'm giving it 4 stars.

This is another solid offering from this seller. The fit and finish is great, and the G10 is beveled all around so nothing is making it uncomfortable to hold. With the frame being steel, there is some weight to this knife, but those liners have been moderately skeletonized, so it's not excessively heavy. Just heavy enough to feel sturdy and reliable. The blade itself is simple but attractive nonetheless. I'll have to take their word that it is D2 steel as my gas chromatograph is in the shop for repairs This knife is easy to open and close with one hand, and is smooth the whole way through. I might think to say that the spring on the AXIS lock seems awfully stiff, but I'm not familiar enough with AXIS locking systems to know if that is the norm or not. I can imagine that it might be so that it can ensure a solid lock. All in all I'd say this knife is a quality piece that is well worth the asking price.

This knife is surprisingly quality. Lockup is tight and blade perfectly centered. It has become my go-to carry knife every day since I recieved it in December. The flat grind, blade shape and length is perfect for everything from breaking down boxes, to cutting up an apple on my lunch break. After some break in use, it's buttery smooth and flicks open one handed effortlessly. I don't know if the blade steel is really D2. And I keep reading people guessing one way or another about it. But even if it's not, and if it's Chinese 8CR13 or 9CR14 steel, it's a fantastic bargain for the price. Three fit and finish is nice too with a great pocket clip. I really can't say enough good things about this super affordable little folder. If this exact folder was any american brand, it would easily be sold for at least twice the price. China is pumping out some good stuff. Great knife, cheap price, beat it up or lose it and buy another. They are that good.

Good knife, affordable, feels great in my hand. Cons: the screw to adjust the tension of the blade always comes loose, and the pocket clip always snags on anything that comes near it. You might say just replace the clip…. The rivet holes are placed in a way where replacement clips are not a simple swap. I’m just taking the clip off

If you have not guessed this is almost an exact replica of Griptillian. Opening blade, you get a softer snap vs Grip where you get a nice satisfying THUNK. With new Grip, the Axis lock is very stiff to point of stuck, this one the "axis replica" is soft and can easily release blade. There is no blade play. The blade is decently sharp - only just got it so not sure how long it will hold edge. The only negative to this knife is the carry clip. It looks like two screws that are lined up at an angle - not sure I've ever seen clip like this. Basically, good luck getting a deep carry one. You can buy 5 of these for price of regular Grip - AWESOME! Heck, deep carry Grip clip will run you $10.

The quality of folder knifes continues to improve especially with axis locks now being available outside of Benchmade who held expired patent. The Eafengrow knives are a great build quality but the action is so stiff that you have to push the blade all the way open. In addition, the thumb stub is pushed slightly forward more than it should be. For just 2 dollars more you can have a knife with a perfect action right out of the box the Sitiven ST110 which has to be tried to be appreciated. This knife and it might break in and work better, but for my money I'm going with the Sitiven who got it right without the need for modifications.
