Gives an immaculate groomed look. Has a strong hold although can re-groom throughout the day. Over night can reset in the morning by adding more to damp hair. Washes out properly when showering. Scent is pleasant and fades so doesn’t interfere with your day. Would recommend.

Had so many issues with spots/rash heat spots suddenly appearing on my forehead and then realised it was caused by hair gels / wax. So decided to change to natural products, and tried a couple but not great for styling. So finally tried this product and it’s brilliant ! So easy and smooth to apply and easily allows beautiful styling. In fact works even well after re styling a few hours later. Only mistake I made was leaving the cap of one night and the wax became lumpy but was ok next day (like it reset). Beautiful smells and so impressed, will not be using any other products. My spots on forehead has completely gone. Can now sleep without washing out the wax.

This is a great product, it washes out easily, has great pliable hold all day and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling on your hands after touching… but it smells like your nan’s favourite perfume. Personally hate the smell it’s really putting me off the product

High quality, tin lasts many months, good value for money product.

The product seemed okay at first, easy to apply but it doesn't last all day. I assume the more you add the longer it will last but I don't like to pile it on. It washes out fine, but that smell, what were they thinking! It smells between a floor cleaner and an old chemist! If they changed the scent then I would possibly purchase again. Update: I applied more product to my hair which lasted longer. No residue, but I do need to add a small amount of men's hairspray to the hairstyle I have.

I’ve purchased this a few times, and one of the things I really like about this clay is how easy it is to wash off your hands when you’ve styled your hair; a must for when you rushing to get ready for work. The scent is very light, and in my opinion quite nice, and the clay works well on very short and short hair (I’m sure it also works well on other lengths, but I only ever have my hair very short or short). With Seven Potions Clay, less really is more, and as a result, you will find that it lasts a long time. Additionally, it’s made in the UK - less CO2 miles - and is vegan friendly; if you happen to follow a vegan diet / lifestyle. Overall a great product that keeps your hair styled and in place all day. I found this styling clay a few years back and have been a big fan ever since. The hold is good, it isn’t sticky or gloopy, doesn’t have any strong fragrance (although it does smell good!), it lasts forever and stays on my hair rather than ending up inside my motorbike lid - there is literally nothing that isn’t great about it! That said, I did have a tiny issue with the last time I bought. I contacted the company and they haven’t just gone the extra mile to sort it out, they have gone ahead, strewn the road with rose petals, lined the streets and carried me in a gilt covered sedan chair - well, figuratively speaking! They pulled out all the stops and more than fixed the problem. They seem like a brilliant U.K. based company and based on my experience of them, I would wholeheartedly recommend them and their products to you, go on, treat yourself, you deserve it!

Great overall product, no overwhelming smell and good hold

I've tried several pomades and have found myself wanting something that was both free of animal products and harsh chemicals. In the past I shyed away from clay due to just being unsuree of how it would hold, and while the hold by this product is great (for me) don't expect it to be locked down like a stronger, harsher pomade. I can go all day without needing to feel like I need to fix my hair, but I have restyled it once home to find that it's pretty flexible in its readjustment. Some have commented the smell is bad or too strong, personally I find neither to be the case as it's quite mild and well, musk smells like musk so that's for you to decide if it's enjoyable or not. Should you expect a rock solid hold like layrite style pomades? No. Will it hold it well? In my opinion absolutely! Size is fine enough and the cost is okay considering this is catering to more of a niche set of expectations. All in all I will be buying again!

Ich ernähre mich vegan und wollte mir nun auch eine vegane Alternative zum gewohnten Haarwachs besorgen. Vorher benutzte ich American Crew, war auch immer sehr zufrieden, wollte nun aber etwas Vergleichbares. Das Wachs ist cremig, leicht in der Hand verteilbar und wird dann wie gewohnt im Haar einmassiert. Für mich riecht es sehr angenehm, ohne extremen Parfümduft, aber mit leicht erdiger, toniger Note - was ich persönlich sehr passend und angenehm finde, es könnte aber auch nicht für jeden etwas sein... Die Frisur hält mit dem Wachs wunderbar und sieht für mehrere Stunden bzw. den Berufstag sehr gut aus: matt und definiert. Sie hält dabei bestimmt keinem Schauer oder extremen Wind stand, für den Alltag ist das aber für mich mittlerweile die erste Wahl, insbesondere vor dem Hintergrund der tierleidfreien Herstellung!

I have terribly sensitive skin including my scalp. This includes ezcema. I often get compliments on my thick wavy/curly hair. Some days however, my hair is less flattering. Adding product makes it consistently look great. I'm not a fan of gel so I've opted to try hair clay (as the slick, glossy look of pomade does not appeal to me) I've tried nearly a dozen brands by now... One particular brand had the worst and strongest scent that I actually received multiple complaints in a single day (never experienced that before about anything). But most irritated my scalp; one even flared up my eczema on my face (yes, my face broke out, it was REALLY bad). After awhile, I gave up. But after I healed up and some time had passed, I began looking again for a quality product that was gentle on skin. Seven Potions IS that product! NO irritation on my scalp AT ALL. It is definitely a clay and will not have that slick, glossy pomade look (which some "clays" that I've tried had which is misleadingly and not my preference). It is indeed matte but without being super matte like other brands which made my hair look dry & lifeless. Fortunately, it is just the right amount of matte; a natural look. Seven Potions applies moderately easy for a hair clay. Not too sticky like some other brands. It is unscented or at least a very light generic scent which I greatly prefer. It doesn't fight against my cologne when I do decide to wear any. Having too many scents mixing around is not good. (I just checked the product page to see if it was advertised as Unscent or not, but then noticed that other reviews mentioned a terrible scent. This is not my experience. Perhaps Seven Potions took note of these negative reviews and remedied the scent problem. I bought 2 of their hair clays so I can have 1 at my girlfriend's. I bought them a few weeks apart. Neither had a poor scent. It is pleasant and extremely light. I only smell it from the can and never on myself which is a selling point to me). I would not consider this a "high hold" though. Perhaps medium at best. Then again, I do not put more than a nickel size amount since I do not want to add too much weight to my hair or start looking greasy. The hold is natural as a hair clay should be. It won't fight up against wind (this isn't hair gel). And at the end of the day, the product seems to disintegrate while leaving the volume & curls in my hair, and smooth & soft too. Due to this, it is extremely easy to wash out considering most of the time, I don't feel its presence. I don't see myself using anything else moving forward.
