These have helped me tremendously. Can be taken daily or as needed. Starts to work within 24 hours of taking so can take when you notice it is necessary. Has helped me feel comfort in social situations. Worth the price. If you need it quite often I recommend subscribing as it sometimes is low in stock. This is the only thing I have found that helps with smelly flatulence.

Works well

I purchased this after having my gallbladder surgery and gastric switch surgery. My partner always complained of night time gasses which I had no control of during sleep. I was taking 2 tabs in the am and 2 in the pm and it did not work that well. I read another review and they recommended 3 to 4 tabs in the am and 3 to 4 in the pm. Once I started this routine very little to no odor!! My partner has not complained since. I will definitely always keep this on deck!

Either I didn't give it enough time to work or it didn't work for me. However, I'm on a medication for a condition that it may not work well with. I'll try it again when I'm done with the medication.

For most people, this product might seem to be a joke, but not to people like me. I am 26 years old and had a Whipple procedure 5 years ago. (Look it up if you aren't familiar with it.) Long story short, I had pancreatic cancer and am now missing 40% of my pancreas, part of my small bowel, my gallbladder, and 1/3 of my stomach. This is a massive surgery, I was told it's the most advanced surgery one can have short of a transplant (not sure if that's true or not) The end result is positive, my tumor was entirely removed. However, I am left with a very nasty and embarrassing side effect. HORRIBLE smelling gas and bowel movements. Not only that, but they are frequent (think passing gas every 5-10 minutes and 3-5 bowel movements a day) I take pancreatic enzymes to help manage these symptoms but they don't completely fix the job. This is a problem that has gotten in the way of me living a normal life. I can't imagine sitting in an office or enclosed space all day while exposing my coworkers to my smell. My girlfriend is an angel for putting up with it. I ended up discovering these tablets and let me tell you, they are ALMOST a life changer. I say almost because they don't fix the problem, and they don't completely eliminate the odor, but they help a LOT. I usually take around 6 per day (I take 20-25 enzyme pills per day) and as long as I am consistent in taking them, things are significantly better. The price is pretty fair, considering my enzyme pills are nearly $10,000 for a 3 month supply without top of the line insurance (Which I pay dearly for and are still $200 per refill.) I recommend this product especially for people who have surgically altered bodies and feel like living a normal life is nearly impossible because of nasty side effects. This sounds really silly, but I nearly teared up when I passed gas after using these for a few days, and didn't feel like the paint was going to peel off the walls. Like I said, it hasn't solved the problem, but it has made it about 80-90% better. I'm very impressed

I was first introduced to this product a short time after undergoing gastric bypass surgery (GBS). I don't know if this happens with all types of GBS, but it was not uncommon for people who had the Roux-n-Y form to go through a period approx 5-8 months after surgery where you tend to be gassy. But by far the worst part was the smell. This is not your standard unpleasantness. This is the smallest little fart will clear a room in seconds. Yes, it is THAT BAD! So embarrassing. You don't want to go anywhere and even your closest family is begging you to move into the basement. Someone in is support group recommended this product. I'd never heard of it previously but was desperate to find anything that would help even a small amount. So I took a chance. WOW! What an amazing product! It completely removed the odor. Not a little like I was hoping for but completely. Do not exceed recommended dose (you won't need to - I only required approx. 1/2 the daily max.) I have a doc that tells me too much buildup of bismuth is not good for you - she is OK with me using it so long as I do not exceed the daily max. But like I said, you won't need to. Great product. Gave me my life. Suddenly I could go out again with out worrying that I might be charged with using chemical weapons and causing mass destruction. WELL WORTH THE PRICE!'

On a thread post a girl said she use this to clear the smell of stomach acid, so that she can go out dating with fresh breaths. I tried and it really works. better than any chewing gum.

This all happened after only taking the medicine twice (I took two of the chewable tablets each time). I have recently had a colostomy reversed, and it's caused me to begin putting out some horrible smells with my farts and poop. Even the smallest fart requires windows be opened and air fresheners to be used to make it even somewhat manageable. So when I saw this product I had some hope of it helping me out. They REALLY need to list possible side effects in some kind of 'potential reactions' pamphlet. For others it's been just blackened stool and constipation. For me... I had taken some the night before, right after a meal, around 9pm. The next morning, I woke around 9:30am... and was slightly sick. I threw up a little and that seemed to solve the problem, but it was definitely the Devrom that caused it; the result was yellow and bitter, and the only thing I had eaten that would have caused it was this medicine. I figured it was no problem though; just a case of my body getting used to the medicine. I then went across the street to do my laundry... and messed my pants. A faint pressure turned into a sudden liquid gush of... you guessed it... yellowish fluid down my pants legs and into my shoes. As I was in the middle of switching my clothes into the dryer I was forced to hobble around like this until I could walk back home, change my clothes and shower. The only thing that could have caused this was my taking this Devrom. On the upside, it didn't smell *half* as bad as it usually did. /sarcasm Worse, since I didn't think anything was seriously wrong I took a second dose of the Devrom before eating a late breakfast. Sure enough, after throwing up, then having severe diarrhea from the first two pills, the second two caused extreme constipation and dark stool. Just like all the other low rating people here. Again, I guess it stuck to the letter of it's promise, as there was very little smell... but come on. The absence of warnings about potential negative reactions to taking this medicine is bordering on negligent from the company and needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY to prevent problems like mine from cropping up for other people looking for some relief from internal problems.
