National Leash Mango Orange - Adjustable Breakaway CAT Safety Collar - Bikini Model

I bought these for my new little kitten (off the street) and was terribly worried that he would get stuck and not be able to release himself when i was not around. Although they are safety breakaway harness, which is very tight and sturdy it easily comes apart when yanked. I high recommend this product for everyday use especially when they are so little. Bells is cute, he plays with it all the time

These are the only collars I buy for my cats. They are the most lightweight and easily adjustable. They breakaway easily (but not too easily) if your cat gets into trouble- and let's face it, they always do! They also come in many beautiful colors so you can find just the right match for your cat's personality. Lastly, National Leash is a great company and very accommodating should you ever have an issue. They truly care about the quality of their product, the happiness of their customers, and the safety of our pets.

Gave this a few stars as it was the first collar I've tried on my cats that they tolerated. It's thin enough that they don't really notice it - though I had to remove the keyring as that did bother them. Also gave it a few stars because the breakaway feature does indeed work. It is also easy to adjust and I like the colors.The easy adjustment is what ended up causing the problem and the reason for only a few stars. Collar had come off one of my cats, I found it and put it back on making sure it was not too loose but also not too tight. That evening the cat was lying next to me on the couch cleaning himself and I see him struggling out of the corner of my eye. Discovered that the collar had worked it's way looser, in a matter of 1/2 a day, and his lower jaw had become hooked in the collar. As I started to try to help him he caught the collar with his claws and it brokeaway and came off.I then removed the collars from the other 2 cats I had wearing them.If they could somehow keep them easily adjustable but not so easy that they adjust themselves then this would be a great product. As it is though I will not be putting them back on my cats.

I bought the mango colored collar and the color faded to yellow. I have it 8 months. Safety-wise, it always works as intended. Three times my cat got caught and I found the collar on the floor. I just wish the color stayed. The mango was so pretty and matched his eyes.

We've have lots of trouble finding a good breakaway collar for one of our kitties. She "lost" 2 of them, along with the $8-10 tags attached to them. I did some more research and ordered this one in Mango Orange because it sounded like it had a clasp mechanism that would be strong enough to avoid coming apart and still function as a breakaway. When the collar first arrived, I was quite pleased--it definitely required more force to pull apart than the previous two experiments.This morning, however, I was very disappointed to find the collar on the floor (at least it was indoors this time!). Testing the plastic "snap" on the collar revealed that it had lost almost ALL of its strength and it took a trivial amount of force to pull it apart.Considering that this is a $9 collar when you factor in shipping and we got about a month's wear out of it--AND we would have lost another collar AND tag if it had fallen off out of doors....well, as I said, disappointing.The search goes on. If anyone knows of a breakaway collar that has the right amount of clasping force AND will last, please post a comment.

I purchased 2 of these collars (mango orange and snowball white), 1 for each of my 2 cats. One loves it and has only taken it off once. My other cat won't keep it on. It bothers her neck I think. I have had these since April 2012 and the cat who hates it has managed to put all kinds of teeth holes in the clasp and chew marks on the collar itself. She wriggles her bottom jaw through the bottom part and stretches it out so she can take it off. OR if the part nearest to her chin is the clasp, she chews on it until it pops open. I am not sure this is a flaw in the design or functionality of this product but it has since been lost for a month or so.

This is my favorite cat collar! But more importantly, this is my cat's favorite collar!!! They don't fuss or scratch at it like other collars, perhaps because it is so slim and much less objectionable. The breakaway definitely works as I have found a missing collar out in the back yard after a kitty scuffle. Also, they just look cool.

My cat loves to explore the woods, and this collar is perfect for her. The breakaway snap is strong enough to stay on (and requires some light tugging to prevent from pulling your cat's fur when taking it off), and yet safe enough to breakaway if your cat becomes entangled. I love is, she loves it and it looks great on her. Plus the collar adjusts nicely, too.
