multi-use item - great!
these are perfect! purchased for making foam 'dice' for my homeschooled PK and K age kids. made some with the traditional dice dots, some with numerals, and some with the number word written out. works awesome for that. also used by my toddlers as building blocks and for color recognition and sorting. they are soft enough that won't break something or hurt a child if thrown, yet firm enough that can't easily be torn or chewed into pieces (teeth do leave 'dents' or marks on them however). they are large enough to not be an easily swallowed item -- although still use with supervision around infants, because I imagine given time a teething baby could bite off a corner or something.update- I've now also super-glued coins to one of these blocks to use for a coin-recognition game and it works great! Also of note the colors of the blocks are nearly identical to construction paper hues--as I work on color recognition with my toddlers I put pieces of green/yellow/etc construction paper on the floor and we make piles on the right color paper.

Worth the money
The media could not be loaded. Bought it for the second time; it helped my toddler learn whole colors. It’s soft and good size. Usually she gets tired of other toys in couple days but with this cubes she is playing with them for whole year now.We are stack in the bedroom with a small AC during this one week heat wave; these cubes entertaining her still at 3. I got her when she was 2 but coz she loved it so much most of them are lost while she carried them around. The product says 3+ but I don’t see any hazard issue it’s soft, big enough ( can’t swallow). Ofcourse I monitor her all the time but now she is 3 I don’t worry much.I rely on reviews when I purchase baby products and I wanted to share my comment just Incase it helps someone else to decide. Great product

Thousands of uses!
I purchased these for my one year old. He is a bit delayed in his fine motor and cognitive skills and they use blocks similar to this in his OT therapy sessions. The container comes with soooo many foam blocks :) The colors are vibrant and they are firm yet still soft enough that they don’t hurt if they get thrown at you or you accidentally step on them.I currently have several in a smaller container. If my sons bites it (which of course he often does and I’m always with him when he uses them) I swap it out for a new one!We use or have used them to practice the following—--putting one block at a time into a container-taking one block at a time out of a container-putting them all in the container and then dumping the container out-moving a block from one hand to another-holding a block in each hand at the same time-filling containers with them then shaking the container-hiding the block under my hand, a scarf, cups etc so he can find hidden objectsI look forward to using these blocks in more ways as he gets older. This would be great for color sorting, stacking, counting.... the possibilities are endless!I’m very happy that I purchased these :) I included a picture of some blocks in original container, in one of my plastic containers from my kitchen and of course what they look like after a child try’s to bite them. Great quality :)

Great little foam blocks
My son loves these blocks! He is three, but never really was into putting non-food stuff into his mouth so I took a chance on these blocks. They ARE mouth sized (1 inch by 1 inch) so if you have an eater you may want to find something else. The colors are just as pictured, perfect primary colors. These are made out of a very firm foam, but they are squishable with a little pressure (if stepped on or bitten they will give to the pressure). They will hold up under ordinary playing and stack well if you are on a hard surface. I wanted wood blocks, but because my son has an infant little sister I had fears about hard wooden blocks flying through the air, etc. I felt this was a safe compromise. These blocks come in the plastic jar shown which is definitely sturdy enough to be used for storage of the blocks (it's about as tall and wide as a hardcover book and about 5 inches across the mouth of the jar). There are six colors (orange, red, yellow, purple, green and blue), 102 pieces and they were made in China.I plan to use these blocks to keep his color recognition sharp, to sort, to do patterns, to count and also for free play. These are a very versatile educational toy at an affordable price. I would buy them again.

make your own games
I saw blocks with the elements on each side and for the priced they were asking, I realized I could make up my own with these foam blocks. I love the whole package. They are durable and easy to write on with a Sharpie. There are enough of each color that I will be able to make the use of them for many dice games I have planned for my classes. The price is perfect and their quality is top notch!!!

Great, versatile product!
I bought these to use in homeschooling activities for my children. There are SO many practical applications. You can easily write on them with a fine tip sharpie and use them for word games, math activities, etc. And because the box contains so many, I have plenty left over to use for other creative projects.

Great size for toddlers
These foam blocks are the best for toddlers.I made a church kit for our girl that she can look at and play with when she is supposed to be quiet and still in our church service. I purchased round velcro stickers that I used on a handful of these, so she can "build" without losing many blocks and also to be able to stack and have them stay together. Our church also has upholstered seats, that the velcro really sticks well too! There are so many blocks in here too, that it will be fun to come up with more activities for her to do with them in the future, such as sorting and counting. The size is great as well, because I can let her play with these without fear of my 7 month old eating one and potentially choking. Perfect size for tiny fingers, but not too tiny.
