New DC Power Jack Cable for Dell XPS 13 L321X L322X Series GRM3D

This cable worked perfectly with my Dell XPS13. It restored the charging capability, where the old jack had been powering the computer but would not charge the battery. There are at least two different cable lengths, with the ferrite bead in different places, listed for the XPS13. Without opening the machine, I didn't know which to order and took a chance on this one. It was too long, but the pinouts and jack were the same. It worked, but the cable couldn't be routed the same way. I ordered a different one, that was the right length, but it was dead on arrival. Rather than send this one, and the non-working other model back, I decided to modify this jack cable, tuck the wires in, and MAKE IT WORK. I had to cut back some of the outer insulation sheath and carefully work the ferrite bead back away from the jack, until it could be stashed in a place where there was room. Success! The computer's power is restored so the wall plug both powers the computer AND charges the battery.

Described correct Dell model XPS 13 L321 and fit perfectly. Back in business!!!!

It did not work for me. I used a magnifying glass but still could not read the OEM item number on the original. So I just went by the laptop model.

The cable was longer than the original. I worked it into the case, but now after one month of use it becomes incredibly hot and the PC will not reliably charge.
