I have to admit, this is now one of my favorite lights in the house and I absolutely love it. I hung it over my dining room table and its linear look with my table that is rectangle looks absolutely fabulous. The light came with everything you need to wire up to your junction box which included the light, cables, mounting hardware, remote and instructions. The light is made of metal with a good fit and finish and the diffuser on the bottom is a white milky color so you can't see the actual leds. The installation was very easy once you insert the metal holders onto the light and insert the helicopter cable into the connectors. You then can adjust the helicopter cable to the height that you would like. This light is very modern, sleek and gives off the wow look. This light can be used over a table, island or even hanging down a long hall or above office desks. These lights can also be linked so if you have a larger area say a long island or work area that is like 8-12 feet, these would be perfect for that situation. I like that there is a remote control to control the on/off, color temperature and dimming. The color temperature ranges from 3000k to 6000k and the light can be dimmed if you feel that they are too bright. I hooked mine up to a smart on/off switch so that I can integrate it into my home automation and use Alexa with voice control. When using a smart switch, it remembers the last setting of the light which is a nice feature but dimming can only be done with the remote. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this light if you are looking for a very cool, sleek, and modern look. The price is very good for this type of light and the build quality and functionality is excellent. I'm going to purchase more to do my hall.

Please see my disclaimer for Vine provided items at the end of this review. This is a simple, yet elegant linear light. The long slender fashion, with a little bit of height, make the light look modern and sharp. There's not much to it. Sometimes simple is best. Build quality wise, this light is great. Full aluminum body, with the exception of the light diffuser sheet, and the plastic endcaps. Plastic endcaps because these lights have connections at the ends for easy chaining of additional lights. I like the fact that it is remote controlled. Also like the ability to adjust white color temperature to whatever you desire. The entire color range looks uniform. No weird splotches or dark spots. Pure linear light from one end to the other. And the ability to adjust the brightness multiple steps is great too. However I do wish the lowest brightness was a little lower. Almost too much for a 'night' mode. I do have a few issues with the light though. First is the remote. I don't like it. I have other lights from completely different manufacturers, and those come with the same remote in white color. The remote feels light and cheap. The plastics are a bit too thin, and you can feel the flex of the remote in your hand when pressing the buttons. Thankfully, the buttons on the Barrina version of the remote are better quality, with definitive clicks. The legends on the keys are a little off-center though. Not a deal breaker. This is part of my personal review process, so I have to mention these things for those that do consider them. There is one last issue I noticed. When using the remote to control the light, if you input several commands in too short of a time period, the light seems to lock up and stop responding. When it is locked up, the only thing it will do is turn ON or OFF. None of the other functions work. I had this happen about 6 times in a short span of around 30mins while conducting my usual tests. Still have not determined exactly what makes the light lock up yet. Eventually it starts responding again. Very strange. The concerning part is that the remote is the only way to interact with the light. If it breaks, you lose it, or the light locks up and stops responding... you have a dead light. And that's the case for a lot of these remote controlled lights. No backup options with buttons on the actual light to control it. And unlike a TV, I do not believe there are universal remotes that will work on these lights. Of the 3 different lights I have, each from different manufacturers, all with the same remote, none of them operate the other. They seem to be uniquely programmed per light. That's both good and bad. Would not want one remote from a different light and brand, controlling a different light in another room. On to the test results. Power usage on this light is pretty good. I measured the full range, from the brightest output level, to the lowest. Brightest came in at 35.9w. Lowest (moon mode) used ~6.9w. The light is rated at 40w, and it's a little short of that, but not by much. I've tested all kinds of lights, and in a lot of cases there are huge discrepancies in the claimed wattage vs actual. This Barrina light scores fairly high among the average, in my tests. So thumbs up for that. One last thing I'd like to mention concerns safety. The sticker on the power input wire is labeled "AC Yellow". There is a Ground/Earth symbol next to the Yellow text, but the way the text is laid out on the sticker almost implies that Yellow IS AC input. I could see someone not that familiar with electrical symbols making a mistake and connecting that to their Line (Black) or White (Neutral) wire. The manufacturer should consider making the labeling on this sticker a bit more direct. Value wise, I think the price is a little high at $70. Between $50-60 feel more appropriate. Overall I like the light and think it is of good quality. I'm very happy with this light. It was easy to install, good instructions, looks and functions great. I installed in in my garage to replace an old fluorescent light that buzzed so bad I never used it. It will be very nice to have a light that can be dimmed and warmed up or put on bright white for when that is better for the project. Appearance wise, it sort of disappears. It is slim, black, and provides light where it is needed. Nothing fancy. It's nice to have a remote control. The only feedback I would give with regard to the construction of the light are two small things: the grounding wire loop used to lasso the grounding screw is a touch too small. I was able to get it around the screw, but barely, and while screwing it in the loop spun with the screw and got the wire all twisted up. It could be a touch wider in the mouth. The other thing is just a comment on how thin the copper wiring is. It seems like it gets thinner and thinner every time I install a light. It still functions, but it reflects poorly on the quality of the construction, in my opinion. Other than those two tiny things, I'm very happy with this light and I do recommend it.

What I like about this light fixture is its unique and streamlined design which makes it unobtrusive. The light quality is good and certainly bright enough for most applications and being dimmable and color adjustable rounds it out. The ability to latch these together into a unified structure shows some forethought. This fixture is very location specific and does that function well. The one concern I have is the longevity of the LEDS and the ability to swap out the element should it become inoperative requiring total replacement, which could cause issues. If the manufacturer has replacement elements, thus leaving the housing, I would edit this review. I could find none.

This light is the perfect size for my garage workbench. It took a couple of reads through the instructions but very easy to install once I understood the process. I love the look and it provides bright light. The remote is cool with the ability to change the light tones to whatever suits the look you want or the light tone you need. I set mine to a natural light tone. You can also adjust the brightness to whatever level you need which is nice when I'm working at night. I highly recommend this as a workbench light.
