Redshift Sports ShockStop Suspension Stem::Biking is a great escape and way to get around but it can be uncomfortable. Ride more than a few miles and you’ll feel the impact of every bump you hit. Gloves and extra bar tape can only go so far in soothing the pain. The Redshift Sports Shockstop Suspension Stem isolates your upper body from the imperfections of the road. This allows you to ride further, faster and more comfortably. Shockstop is offered in different lengths and angles with adjustable stiffness that accommodates performance cyclists, recreational riders and commuters. Smooth out the kinks in your ride with Shockstop.

It was somewhat painful to do a lot of time on the drops ...
I was diagnosed a month or so ago with a torn labrum in my shoulder. It was somewhat painful to do a lot of time on the drops of my bike. I knew I had a long ride on Iowa's RAGBRAI coming up. I found your Shockstop "suspension stem" on line and installed it prior to the ride. On Saturday I finished the 500 mile ride on our sometimes bumpy roads. NO discomfort at all in my shoulder. Just enough flex to absorb the bumps and not have it transfer to my shoulder. Great product. Joe

MUST HAVE for Elliptigo users!
I am a very particular person especially when I have to spend as much as I have for a bike stem. The Elliptigo doesn't have a shock absorber so having this one is best there is.This is one perfect invention. It made a 100% difference in my ride going through road bumps and gravel. My ride felt smoother and feels more efficient overall. Best bang for my buck. I couldn't be happier. Spend the money for this. Great investment for your Elliptigo. Glad I didn't wait. I've had my 3C for about 5 months only and decided to take the plunge and spend a lot of money for the stem.Customer service is also awesome. The actual owners are the ones you're talking too. Prompt e-mail response and very polite.

Great on gravel
I ride primarily on gravel and was looking for added shock absorption without the price of a new fork. This has helped relieve fatigue in my hands and shoulders on long rides. It was easy to install and has held up well for 1 year so far.

expectations
I purchased this stem for my gravel bike. I was expecting to have a little more comfort when riding gravel road and trails in my area. 10 to 20 mm of travel per the information. It is not a "full suspension fork" so do not expect that. It is however a pleasant surprise to end of ride with no shoulder pain and arm pain from going over rocks and ruts that normally were tiring and rough. This system worked perfect for me. I tried a few settings and with just a few adjustments it is everything I expected.I am thinking of putting this on my road bike simply to be more comfortable on long rides.Did not notice it on the road or going uphill but when I needed a little "plush" is was there.Good product

Not worth it
Did not work for me, the rubbers end up collapsing and providing with no additional comfort compared to a regular stem.Save your money or buy a front suspension fork.

Great for all conditions
I have put both the shockstop stem and Seatpost on 2 bikes, my wife's hybrid bike and mine. We love them because they don't add near as much weight or complexity to the bike as a suspension fork and there is no energy-absorbing pedal bob. The shockstop works even better than the fork. We can ride on any surface and seemingly not know it is there when we don't need it, yet when we need it there it is. We love it!!
