Works great
Good fit. Everything works like it says. The adapter cover could have a little more depth

It works great if you know what you are doing. Looks a little cheap made but it works.
Looks a little cheap but it works for me so far. I do not like grant but my steering wheel is Awesome so I had to buy a nether one of there horn kits. They only seem to last about 5 years. They should make the kit better.

Needed to install Grant Steering wheel in 1979 F-150
I knocked a star off due to electrical and horn button issues. I purchased this adapter with the Grant 404 challenger steering wheel and the Grant 5685 Ford Blue Oval horn button. As far as the electrical issue is concerned, the leads for the horn are un-insulated spade terminals. I installed the horn button and routed wiring according to the instructions provided. The positive side ended up shorting out on one of three bolts retainer bolts since the terminal it connects to isn't riveted tightly and can rotate. This caused quite the spark show under the button. To remedy I pulled horn button and slipped some heat shrink tubing over the spade connector so it cannot short to ground with anything. The second issue is how the horn button snaps into place. Not sure if the detents were made too large or if the adapter kit I got was old and the plastic pieces are just brittle due to age. When I removed the button I noticed there were pieces from that plastic piece it snaps to were broken off. Since that plastic piece is now broken where the detents from the horn button make contact I am not sure how well the horn button will stay in place. I have only taken it for a short drive since I installed everything so time will tell whether I have issues with the horn button staying in place. I don't think I should have to replace the adapter or one of the components of the adapter kit (if you even can replace just the broken part) simply because the horn button was removed once after install to fix an electrical short. If the horn button holds this 4 star review will stand, if I have issues with it popping loose I will adjust this review as needed.

Fiddly to install
I found this installation frustrating. The instructions were tiny and hard to read with grainy black and white photos. My kit was also missing a part (the horn pad spring). Fortunately (?) I had mistakenly ordered a second kit from LMC - that was ALSO missing a part (the copper contact pad)! Between the two of them I pieced together my installation but it didn't have to be this hard...

Nothing like dressing up an old Ford
Bought this adaptor for a 78 Ford Ranchero GT. Instructions fairly simple...Thank goodness for pics. Had to cut own steering shaft spacer, the one in package wasn't long enough, housing rubbed steering column. Other then that, It fits like a glove and looks terrific.

Grant aftermarket replacement horn assembly
If I install this one properly it will work much better than the previous one the installer incorrectly.
