Mens Solution Comp Rock Climbing Shoes

Simply excellent climbing shoes. Excellent grip combined with a lot of comfort. I mostly use it for indoor climbing. I also bought La Sportiva Theory model at the same time. Both are outstanding, I like both more than Miura model. My climbing level is around top 5:11 rates.

Let me start from that I focus on bouldering exclusively. This new version of the Solutions is way batter than the old one in many respects. First of all, it provides the same toe and arch support performance. On top of that, hell-hooks work better, since the heel sensitivity is improved and it just fits nicer - I can feel the hold just like I do with the toe. Another plus is that the breaking period is tiny. I normally wear US 9. The old Solutions were 8.5 and hurt my about a month. With these new ones it was easy. I felt like I can go down for a better performance, because old Solutions got a bit loose with time. So, first I went for 7.5 and immediately felt pain to the point it became clear that's not my size (at least for my right foot which is tiny bigger). Then I went for size 8 and bingo - it worked like a charm after just two days of breaking into them at home! Highly recommend for bouldering!

My son wanted a new pair of climbing shoes that are not beginner level ones. These were a little bit big jump from beginner climbing shoes so he ended up choosing a different pair of La Sportiva shoes. Otherwise great quality shoes with great features and the seller was wonderful too!

Great shoe, super helpful my one complaint(this is user error on my part) is that they stretch a lot faster than I was expecting(I went down a half size(US) and wish i would’ve gone down a full size or a size and a half) if you are considering these shoes I would suggest going at least a full size down(US).

The rubber is really grippy and the heel fits my foot perfectly. I wear a 11.5 street shoe and decided to size down to a size "10.5-11." Tried them on at home (no socks) and other than an extra 3-4 millimeters in the toe they fit perfectly. Wore them in the gym with very thin socks (Smartwool Ultra Light wool socks) and they were a little tight (slight pain) in the first ~2 hour climbing session. By the third climbing session they felt a little tight but didn't hurt anymore. Wearing the ultra thin wool socks makes them so much easier to put on. My previous shoes were Five Ten Verdon Lace, size 11.5. So far, the Solution Comps feel so much better and I feel like I can stand on any angled volume. Heel hooks also feel great, no extra room in the heels with this fit (which is slightly different from the regular Solutions). 10/10 would recommend

Excellent fit. For this brand I recommend trying it on in store first to see what fit best suits you, once you find that you'll never want to buy another brand again. The comfortable mesh material along with the stretch band of the velcro strap makes it feel as if youre wearing a sock. A sock that has a soul molded perfectly to an athletic type of foot. The heel makes heel hooks feel second nature even if you're a beginner in the technique, as I am. And the solid toe build has a support that will make you feel secure on the smallest of ledges. This shoe has perfected the mix of comfort and stability.

Great rock climbing shoe- but be warned it turns your toes yellow

The shoes fit fine but they were clearly warn beforehand. Dented, dirty, some scratches. I wear a size 13 and these were size 12; I was afraid of the size difference but they fit well. I will be looking at another company that sells them.
