I needed a shorter wire tool for stack and slam wedging of clay, so that it did not get all twisted up and I could just drop it and pick it up quickly, this wire tool is all I use now, it is tangle free and comfy on the hands. It is strong and the wire is thicker so it does not get kinked up. The only downside is that, because the wire is thick it catches hold of more clay on every pass, this is also because of the twisted texture of the wire, so i have to stop and clean the wire off, otherwise the wire will get a build up of clay on it, but that is a minor gripe, because it is so strong, comfortable and durable that I would not go back to the long skinny wire that constantly got in the way and got tangled with itself.

I used this to cut large blocks of clay. Item worked exactly as it should.

This is short as alot of the other reviews state but it's a decent quality and for something like making mugs or bowls the length is fine

The wire is thick and strong. While using it today (2nd day of using it), it cut through my skin.

It is a short wire so you don't have to wrap the wire around your hand to cut off the wheel

I was using one of those wooden wire tools for awhile and eventually got a cut in my finger from gripping so hard as i wrapped it around my fingers. Happy to be using this one now where it doesn't get tangled and fits the wheel diameter better. Nice container for longer term storage.

I lost my wire tool for ceramics and needed a new one quickly. This tool is nice, but cost much more than it would have at the ceramics store that I didn’t have time to get to.
