RingConn Gen 2 Air Ultra-Thin Smart Ring(Size 8, Dune Gold)

I've been wearing my RingConn Gen 2 (basic $199 model) for three weeks, and I love it. You can't beat the price, no-monthly subscription, and long battery life (10 days has been accurate for me so far). I purchased the basic Gen 2 model to start because I frequently wash my hands and garden, so I wanted to ensure the ring could outlast me, and so far so good. I've worn an Apple watch for a decade, but I have trouble wearing it at night for sleep tracking, and I am tired of wearing a bulky item on my wrist. The RingConn is lightweight, I hardly notice it especially while sleeping so I can finally track my sleep. I purchased the Dune Gold, which I would consider similar to a rose gold, and it looks classy; not cheap-looking at all. I also purchased the RingConn ring sizing kit prior to making this purchase to ensure I purchased the right size. I definitely recommend taking this extra step so the ring fits just as you imagine. The sizing kit includes a booklet that mentions you should wear this ring on your non-dominant hand and recommends your index and middle finger, although I've heard it's less about what finger you use and more about consistently wearing it for proper data tracking. I've read some people have issues with the app. I find the app and data to be easy to access and helpful. I have it setup to communicate with my other health apps (like My Fitness Pal, Apple Health) so everything syncs together. The only weird issue I'm noticing is my activity steps on the RingConn app are typically 500-1,000 steps higher than what my other health apps are syncing. Not sure why this is happening, maybe a me thing, but it doesn't bother me. I should also mention I don't have the RingConn app running all the time in the background; I manually sync it throughout the day by simply opening the app. This difference might be why I'm getting such good battery life opposed to some other users. Overall if you're thinking about getting a fitness ring, and don't want to spend a lot of money to start, purchase this model.

I've owned both an Apple Watch and a Galaxy Watch 8, and while they're packed with features, I've never really enjoyed wearing either one. No matter how good the technology gets, I still don't like having something strapped to my wrist all day. That's what made the RingConn Gen 2 Air such a pleasant surprise. This ring is exactly what I was looking for: something I can put on and completely forget about. It's lightweight, comfortable, and the battery life is good enough that I don't have to think about charging it every day. I can wear it for nearly a week without it becoming a chore. For anyone who dislikes smartwatches but still wants health and activity tracking, I think this is a great alternative. Until watch batteries improve significantly and wristbands become more comfortable, I'd recommend a smart ring like this over a smartwatch. One piece of advice: pay close attention to the sizing kit. I read plenty of comments saying the sizing rings run too large. That wasn't my experience at all. Fortunately, I sized the ring using my left hand because that's where I originally planned to wear it. In practice, I ended up wearing the actual ring on my right hand, and the fit worked out perfectly. Everyone's fingers are different, so don't assume someone else's sizing advice will apply to you. Overall, the RingConn Gen 2 Air is one of those products that does exactly what it's supposed to do. It stays out of the way, tracks my health data, and doesn't constantly demand my attention. That's exactly what I wanted.

I have had and used this ring for about a week now, as to say I’m impressed would be such an understatement!! I went with the RingConn vs other brands of fitness and recovery rings because I didn’t want to pay for a subscription and it was more cost effective than competitors. The fit is amazing, I am glad I purchased the sizing kit before ordering though! It was super simple to set up and honestly I have yet to even fully charge it yet! The app truly walks you through everything and makes it super easy. As long as you have a good working wifi, the connection was also simple! I didn’t know how I would like even wearing a ring as I’m not a huge jewelry girl, but I hardly even notice it’s there most of the time! I can sleep comfortably with it on as well as go through the most cardio intensive workouts with it on! I would truly recommend this to anyone looking

I really love my RingConn Air! The price is great, especially since there’s **no subscription fee**, and I’ve really liked the updates they’ve made to make the app more user-friendly. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that after exactly a year, the battery stopped holding a charge. I contacted customer service and they were able to send me a replacement free of charge. I did have to send my old ring back with the shipping label they provided. Overall they were great to work with. The biggest hassle was the time difference since their customer service is based in Hong Kong, so it was sometimes hard to be available when they replied. I first used the AI chat bot which is available 24/7 on the app to figure out my problem and they eventually directed me to their email. Overall, I’m still really happy with the RingConn Air and would definitely recommend it!

I’m satisfied with this purchase. Excellent accuracy for tracking sleep, stress and heart rate. Fairly accurate tracking activity but it’s good enough. Charge lasts for about a week and it’s fast charging so you only lose a couple hours of tracking. Highly recommended.

I chose this ring over its more expensive competitor solely because reviewers here claimed the app was intuitive, informative and user friendly. To say I was shocked to discover none of those things were true would be an understatement. Fact of the matter is the app is not user friendly in the slightest and what little settings it has for you to customize don't even work! For example, I unchecked 24-Hour Clock which should have defaulted all clock settings and time reading displays within the app to 12-Hour format, right? Well, it does not! Unchecked or not, the app knows no other alternative - it only knows, operates from and displays the time in 24-Hour format! I highly recommend taking a look at the reviews for this app in the iOS AppStore because it's what I didn't do but should've done prior to purchasing. I let the reviews here sway me when I should've gone to the source. And boy, are the App reviews telling. One of the reoccurring "cons" stated in reviews here about the competitor ring is that their app requires a monthly subscription fee to use. This "con" was very effective in making this ring look like the more appealing option - even more so because the competitor ring AND its ring sample kit are already priced higher than this ring, so naturally one would be paying a lot more for that ring not just upfront but longterm. This ring being the cheaper - the actual ring itself as well as its ring sizing kit - of the two with a subscription-free app to boot would no doubt seem like the better buy! Obviously I didn't buy the other ring so I can't tell you if that ring is what it claims to be or if its $5 monthly subscription fee is worth it, but what I can tell you is the free-of-charge $0 app for this ring is so awful you couldn't pay me to use it. So I guess I got what I paid for in that I paid nothing for the app and it gave me NOTHING in return. The app is the main component to this ring. Without a good app this ring is worthless. Now, let's get into the ring itself because before I even discovered how horrible the app was I had to unbox the ring, and in unboxing the ring I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it looked in the Dune colorway - the only good thing I have to say about this ring - and eagerly put it on just to discover it was too big! Did I mention I purchased the ring sizing kit? Sure it only cost a $1 to the competitor's $10 but still... what's the point of offering the sizing kit if the sizes don't actually align?! At that point I hadn't known what was to come with the app itself so I was planning on ordering another ring in the size down. Good thing I didn't because it ultimately wouldn't have mattered with the state of the app. I only make note of this to point out that even with the first impression being an ill fitted ring I was still excited and looking forward to getting the ring set up and running because truth be told I had been looking forward to the delivery of this ring all week! I'm genuinely so bummed that THIS ended up being my experience with it. If you're still reading, the lesson to be had here is choosing the cheaper option is not always the deal you think it is, and in this case it was very much a bad deal. That's not to say the more expensive competitor ring is the better deal because for all I know that ring's app could be just as mediocre but ultimately I don't know and honestly have no intention of finding out anytime soon. All I can say for sure is this ring's ring sizing kit is inaccurate and this ring's app is a whole joke so don't be fooled like I was. 1 obligatory yet deserving star for the dune color and nothing else. Update: I've now worn this ring across two different fingers for about a week's time each and both fingers spurred blisters beneath the ring. It should also be noted that my initial sizing issue hadn't been an issue of the ring being too small but rather too big, so I can't even write off the blistering to it being too small for my fingers because it's not. Additionally, I’ve also found the charge doesn’t last nearly as long as advertised. For example, after a full charge the app told me I had 9 days of battery life remaining. When I checked in on the app 4 days later following a workout I was surprised to find nothing from that session had been logged because the ring was dead… 1 1/2 days dead, which I hadn’t realized as I hadn’t checked in on the app the day prior! Also strange, the step counter is crazy inconsistent and the calorie counter is just broken as it never really changes much. I tested in comparison to my iPhone’s Apple Health data and it’s way off some. It will say I burned 400 calories with less than 200 steps and then if the steps reach 5k the calorie counter only grows by 10 or something. Make it make sense!

I'm still undecided but I wanted to get my first impression out and will then update the review as time goes on. When deciding on trying a smart ring, this one looked great but aesthetics can't be the only factor so I'm trying it out. Positives: 1. Aesthetics - this ring is really nice looking. I bought the size 12 ring and wear it on my dominant hand's middle finger. I don't normally wear jewelry and my wedding ring is a titanium band on my left ring finger. You shouldn't be wearing these rings next to other rings and wearing it on my ring finger opposite my left hand kinda felt like it looked to weird. So, middle finger it is. And it doesn't look bad at all. It doesn't scream: smart health monitoring ring either. 2. Charge capacity - First, this is an area of concern based on the reviews I've seen and RingConn isn't the only one out there with this particular concern. What I'm seeing is mainly positive reviews right after the ring is purchased, or negative reviews after 60 days because the ring won't keep its charge, and the occasional 1 year review saying the battery degraded after the year. So, for now, and I'm only at 2 weeks and counting, the ring is charging. But, as with laptop lithium batteries, should I treat this ring's battery with the same care? I'm making a conscious decision to only charge it to 80-85% capacity and then only run it down to 20% before putting it back on the charger. If I decide to keep this ring, I'm curious if this will resolve the battery problem that seems so prevalent in these reviews. 3. Works right out of the box - I've tried UltraHuman first (not on Amazon) and it failed right off. It would only connect when on the charger, etc. So, back it went. Then I tried RenPho which worked right off the bat, but it was too bulky and hurt my index and ring fingers on either side of it. Now I'm trying RingConn and this one worked right off as well. Set up was easy. 4. Charger and accessories - Great so far in that department. The ring easily fits over the charger post and magnetically snaps into place to charge. It usually takes about an hour or 90 minutes for full charge. (Read my battery comments above) Not so positives: 1. The app - this is the big one for me and what is causing me to still decide whether this ring has earned its place at the table of health equipment. I've taken a series of snaps to share. It doesn't seem to tell me that much other than a vague report of how stressed I am, or the quality of my sleep. Activity was a funny one, I'll write up that one in the next point. 2. Sleep quality - this one is a take it or leave it: I already know if I got a good night's rest. But I went to the movies with my wife and apparently the ring thought I started sleeping when the movie started around 7:30pm. 3. Steps and Activity - this one was strange. I work out 3 times per week and the app is supposed to track my training. however, I'm primarily on the elliptical and I'm not convinced that it's accurately checking my step count. However, it does detect something but if it's not precisely accurate I'm unconvinced as to the actual usefulness of this metric. 4. Vitals - I do track my HR and BP and believe that my BP cuff is the price measurement, however the ring does attempt to measure HR and BP among things like variation in heart activity as well as skin temperature. 5. Lifestyle score - I've been wearing this ring for 7 days and the lifestyle score is still showing that data-collection is in progress. So, I can't comment directly on this but the note on that page does say that it should display after activity data is recorded for more than 4 days with wearing duration of greater than 8 hours per day. In summary, I would be happier if it would be more accurate with my steps and activity. The sleep monitoring is interesting but passively. It does let me know if it detects unusually high HR but when it did that I was in the middle of my 40 minute cardio session. It looks like a piece of fine jewelry and I don't mind wearing it. It's super comfortable (sorry RenPho) but I'm not trying to wear another piece of jewelry. So, the jury is still out. I'll continue monitoring it up until I'm almost outside of my 30 days window to return it and make my final decision then.

I absolutely looooove mines. I have chubby fingers so I just guessed and got a size 11. Im able to wear it on my index, thumb, middle finger without issue. The app is easy to navigate and gives real time stats. Paired easily with my Samsung health apps and profile allowing my cpap machine to get my sleep stage data. Best part was it is HSA eligible! Great buy works much better for me than trying to keep my phone on me. Or wearing a watch to sleep getting in my way. The curve- flat design makes it very comfortable to wear to sleep, work, and just walking around. On top of all of this the battery life is pristine. I've had it for about a month and have charged it twice. Even then it wasn't dying!

Essential! Please don't skip this before buying your RingConn ring. I'm now on my 3rd RingConn - one of each generation - and have used the sizing kit each time before buying. I like the rings very much. But, as I've found RingConn's customer service to be lacking, I'd definitely recommend making sure you get the size right before you buy to avoid any heartache later.

I bought this for my bf and he loves it. It was a perfect fit. Easy to wear, it is light and comes with a little charger. We check his sleep patterns and it appears pretty accurate. The color of the ring is very nice as well. Not bulky. It is helpful that it is waterproof.

I like this ring brand the most because it has a lot of data and has no monthly fee. The ring sizes are very different from normal ring sizes - for example: A size 4.5 ring was a 7 in these. The sleep data was impressive. It could tell when I was laying in bed and when I was sleeping. If you are wanting a smart ring this is a good choice.
