Going from Good to Great, Raving Fans, AND Inside the Magic Kingdom!
This book had all the elements of the great customer service books by making you stop and think about how and why you are doing what you are doing with customer service. We found that we all have a choice in CS...Either we do it with UNPARELLED EXCELLENCE like Disney, or we pretend to do customer service like the average decent company. My team is finding over time that we can be more like Disney by encouraging each other and it already is helping to differentiate us in our marketplace among any and all service related small businesses. Together we can see that if we do the little things everyday to make people feel VERY special, like Disney, it is not only fun, but is paying huge dividends in our business. We recommend the book to any team looking to improve and do things better than they ever have in the past.

Simple Truths
Inside the Magic Kingdom was a very light read on how Disney treats their customers and employees. The journey is in story format. It is a make believe adventure of adults who go to the Disney Park to learn about the reason Disney is successful. The lessons are light hearted but are logical and can be of great help. This book is not about specifics related to the Disney Company. It is simply observations of the author about why Disney is successful. It is a very quick read with not much depth. I think it is very valuable to any business owner/ customer relations representative but realize it is not a true in depth look at the company.

Highly recommend.
Written in the form of an easy to follow story, this book reveals some of the simple brilliance of Disney's Customer "Experience." If you own a business (or are looking at starting a business) this should be a must read. Business owners take far too much for granted, and fail to take the time to see themselves through their "customer's eyes." Disney understands how critical this concept is, and this book shows you how simple the ideas are to apply to your business.

Fantastic Read!
Inside the Magic Kingdom was one the easiest and best management/customer relations books I have ever read. It is written in a way that allows the reader to obtain knowledge in a fun and easy manner. There are seven principles described in the book and each and everyone of them is important in their own way.If I were a manager I would read this and then suggest/assign to everyone in my department. Also, this would be a great book for a professor to assign to their class.

Great ideas, but the Disney organisation described is a myth
Inspirational, professional, aspirational - just a few words I would NEVER use to describe Disney's theme parks.While the anecdotes and stories in this easy-to-read book left me nodding like Donald Duck, it's sadly something that senior management at the Walt Disney Company itself also ought to read.I so wanted to believe the story about painting the railings everyday, or cast-members' pride in giving customer a happy experience. But anyone who's visited either the Paris or Florida parks recently knows that there are massive gaps between the ideal and the reality.Treat this book is a guide to how a fictional company with excellent customer service as a core value should behave - just don't kid yourself that's it's fact.

仁平さんが翻訳された「人生を変える80対20の法則」、「トム・ピーターズのサラリーマン大逆襲作戦〈1〉ブランド人になれ! 」は特に感動した本です。そしてこの「ディズニー7つの法則」は一番のおすすめです。私がディズニー好きということもあるのですが、日本の「株式会社オリエンタルランド」ではなく、アメリカの「The Walt Disney Company」のノウハウがわかります。感動させ、惹きつけ、そして利益を出す。とてもシンプルな方法が盛り沢山です。
