I bought this for my husband and he didn't think that the bands that come with it were enough. I bought an extra set of the bands so he could increase the weight. He added one band to the three that comes with it and it snapped in half! It worked well with the bands that it comes with but, don't try to add extra weight to it.

This is a great device to keep at the office or even travel with due to its compact size. The multiple bands give a resistance workout equal to 15, 20 and 25 pounds. You can combine the bands to increase the weight as desired. The device is made of plastic but is quite sturdy in its construction. The included instructions provide guidance on best use. While using it I found that slow and steady movements to maintain resistance in both directions really gives a robust workout. I keep this at work to use on breaks a few times a day. I really like the quality of the construction and the difference I can feel when working my arms. I recommend this as a compact, lightweight alternative to dumb bells.

I've purchased this a few months ago for my parents who hardly excersize and they absolutely love this device. I've noticed their muscular pain has been allieviated throughout the weeks and I suspect it's due tot his self-therapy. So, having that said, I tried it as well and actually felt a great burn/workout. It looks like it's made out of weak plastic but it's not! In fact, nothing has broken up and it works just as new!

Scarmat Arm Workout Machine is great but the orange band always breaks. I purchased this last January 2019 and the orange band broke within 6 months. Contacted Monicafed and they got right back to me and were kind enough to replace the bands. Here I am maybe 8 months later with another broken orange band as seen in the picture. The yellow and green bands have never broken. I gave this product a 5 star review but have since changed it to a 2 because I contacted Monicafed 3 weeks ago to see why these bands always break and this time they never got back to me. Its to bad because its a great item and really helps with your arms but the quality of the bands are poor (the orange one anyway) and the others are to easy so this product is useless to me now. Really wish someone had the courtesy of getting back to me like they did the first time. As I stated in the past I use the product exactly as instructed in the video so I don't misuse it for these bands to continue to break.5 STAR REVIEW AS OF 3/19/20I am changing my review back to a 5 because Monicafed has reached out to me and sent me a link to get new bands which is what I really wanted. I purchased the bands and I have since received an email with their apologies for missing my previous emails and refunding me the amount. With the Coronavirus and everything going on some things are getting missed and that is understandable. I wasn't looking for a free set of bands so they didn't have to do that but it was greatly appreciated. That is not why I am changing my review back to a 5 though. As I have said the exerciser is great and I was really bummed I couldn't use it anymore. I HIGHLY recommend this product once again because it is a awesome exerciser for your arms. I will be 60 this year and have never worked out a day in my life because I hate it but I love using this. I was wearing a sleeveless dress for my sons wedding last year and my arms needed something. I purchased this exerciser and have seen great results!

Full disclosure--I am a 5x-week gym person, and I got this for my wife. My wife can do the beginner and intermediate levels, and the advanced is too hard. The hard band is pretty easy for me, maybe tiring after 15+ very slow reps or so--so great for a beginner, or someone intimidated by other equipment or exercise bands. My wife specifically wants to tone her triceps, so this works out well.It's pretty much only for triceps though. Sure, other muscles like the back and delts (shoulders) will fire to stabilize, but you're not working out those muscles. Biceps and chest aren't really touched. I was hoping there were other alternate ways to grip the device to use other muscles, but it's really a one-trick pony. You can press it down to emphasize one tricep part and press upwards to emphasize the other (still very important) but that's the limit.My main critique of this is that it doesn't really exercise the full range of motion. Like any band exercises, at one end of the stretch there's virtually no resistance, and at the other it's at full resistance. It's an interesting device that makes your tricep extension feel like a pressing motion. This will get you started since it's pretty easy and will emphasize the middle and full contraction of the muscle. You won't get much definition from this, since it doesn't also strain the full extension of the muscle.Overall, it's an easy to use device, and great for beginners. Best part is that it's simple to fold up and put away, and assembles in seconds.

Works well for someone just starting out in their workout routine or not wanting to bulk up. I have three kids one 40lb I still carry at times, so I had to max out on the bands. I could feel it on the advanced band for sure. It reminds me of the device they advertise to lift breasts. My arms are my trouble area that really just need firming. So Good purchase. NOTE: ‘great’ is misspelled on the side of the box (greet) not sure if this was on purpose or somebody did an uh oh
