BCACP Bullets

Played a part in my successful Board Certification
I purchased this book along with a Med Ed 101 BCACP review course as the key components of my overall study strategy for the Fall 2018 exam. I listened to the review course while primarily hiking with my dog and closer to my exam date I focused solely on this book as a great review/refresher of the material I covered over the past 2-3 months. This book is concise and to the point on material that you need to know for the exam. It's amazing how so much material can be condensed in one book that so easy and affordable. If you are looking for an effective recap prior to your exam then this is it. It helped me pass the exam on my initial try and added some more initials after my name.

Quantity over quality
The book is 300 + pages but covers a vast amount of disease states that may be seen on the exam, along with short sections over regulatory, billing codes, and biostats. However, the clinical section is very short and is only good if you just want a a small bird's eye view of what's first line with nothing more than surface level (example: hypokalemia = treat with potassium). I can see how it would be helpful if you just want a short list of things to memorize for each disease state in a hurry. The formatting reminds me of someone's personal notes on a google doc or microsoft word so it doesn't really bring anything new to the table to help you remember things.Pros: Covers basically everything in one of the shortest ways possible (maybe a good review after you already studied from something else)Cons: Perhaps too simple, will have to dive deeper to get to the meat of most therapeutic topics

Stripped down TL;DR pharmacy info, wish editing paid more attention to outline format
Content serves as a good brief refresher on vast array of topics. Very broad overview (think TL;DR) which is good for BCPS exam. Written as an outline format vs full paragraph which I like for review purposes. Unfortunately, I am finding many many errors as far as outline formatting (lines being indented when they shouldn’t or not being indented when they should be etc)

Few details- very casual
Would not recommend for primary study material or even secondary. Written casually where details like stepwise guideline approach is left out while price (‘crazy expensive’) is noted. Reference section leaves much to be desired. Glad I bought used.

Buy this for your last minute studying
I used a combination of study materials to Prep for the BCACP. I used ACCP, meded101, and the BCACP bullets book. The BCACP bullets book was what I used exclusively the week leading up to the test. It really helped me to memorize all of the important details. I love this book!

Highly recommend!
Great for reviewing and organizing the material! I flipped it open when ever I had a few minutes. Still waiting in my results but highly recommend it.

Great Book
There are a couple of "typo's" but nothing major. I want sample questions before I purpose those on your site. Thanks
