This device supposedly measures Electric Radiation, Magnetic Radiation, and Temperature. The temperature measurement seems to be just a gimmicky add-on to the circuitry to be able to say it’s a 3-in-1 meter. Based on the readings of this unit, every electric item I use in my home is emitting harmful electric field radiation. This includes my computer monitors, my computer, my flat-screen TV, the heating pad in my bed, my lamp, and even my alarm clock. I have to remember that distance is key. Although I’d have to be so far away from my computer, I wouldn’t be able to use it. The heating pad in my bed puts out as many V/m at 18 inches—even when it’s turned off, as my flat screen TV does at 24 inches. And I use the heating pad directly on my body. Any reading above 40 V/m is supposedly “harmful.” Apparently, they’re suggesting we should live without electricity. When I hold the meter near any electrical outlet with nothing plugged in, or wall light switch, it reads a harmful electric field. When I hold it near a power strip: harmful electric field. When I hold it near a electric component timer: harmful electric field — even when the timer is turned off. To measure microwave leakage, this unit is designed to measure Volts per Meter. Microwave radiation is typically measured in milliVolts per centimeter, so unless you have other things you want to measure, you should get a microwave leakage detector. Although, it works out to just being a multiple of ten: that is, 46 V/m = 460 mV/cm, but they don't tell you that. In addition, when measuring my microwave with this meter, it reads a high level of milligauss, which is typically not the type of radiation that concerns us with a Microwave Oven. In any case, this device measures 46 Volts/meter when my Microwave Oven is not even running, but doesn’t increase when the microwave is running. I’m having trouble making sense of that. As for the temperature meter, it says my bedroom is 81.6 degrees Fahrenheit. My other thermometers all say it’s around 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Update 2024-10-14 After additional research, I've discovered my issue is not with this meter, which seems to be doing exactly what it is designed to do. Instead, my issue is with reality. We're being bombarded with Electric and Magnetic fields in ways I had never thought possible. The question remains how much this affects my health. I still don't understand why the Magnetic radiation from my microwave is the same whether it's running or not. The similar measurement regarding heating pads I use on my bed whether on or off is also a puzzle. But I now give the meter 5 stars. It's doing what it's supposed to do.

As there really are alot of factors and possible uses for this detector. And when you need to monitor EMF, you want something that is fast, accurate and easy to use & understand.
