Compact and sturdy
I loved the thickness , the long handle and the fact that I can use it for “Indian tadkas”, without having to deal with another pan to wash. Easy to wash with just soap and water.

Needs stand and lid, but nice pan.
This is a solid tadka pan, well built, but it really needs a stand and a lid to prevent splattering. I built a small stand for it. Pan it self is 5 stars.

No
I returned this and wouldn’t buy again. The photos show it sitting independently. It will not. The handle is so long it is out of balance and WILL NOT sit level on a stove top for any reason. So the capacity is about 1/2 because it won’t sit flat.

The base on the 1-cup is very small
The small base makes it difficult to use on my stove, it's smaller than the grill so it wobbles dramatically. I use a diffuser to give it a steady base. The last thing I want is a pot of hot oil/butter/whatever spilling on my stove. Or worse, on me. I really like the concept and the size is great for those small jobs. I'm glad I already have a diffuser, or I wouldn't be able to use it safely. I'm wondering if the 2-cup size is easier to use.

Won't work on induction hob and is unbalanced.
The pan did not heat up on our induction hob. Apparently, the base is too small in diameter when in contact with the hob's surface for the hob to be activated. In addition, the handle is so heavy relative to the pan part that the pan will not sit level on a hob but will instead lean at an angle unless you manually hold it level. Some other tadka pans I've seen have an "leg" on the handle to avoid this problem.
