Very pleased with this Adaptic dressing for wound care. It DOES NOT stick to wounds (at least not to my open wound). It has some chemical on the light weight mesh that keeps the mesh from sticking to the wound. Very easy and painless to remove. My first experience with this product was part of the wound dressing applied in the ER at the hospital. So impressed with the ease to use and painless application and removal of this dressing, that I immedicately ordered this on Amazon.

This is the exact brand the hospital sent me home with after surgery to change dressings, so I was glad to find them here in bulk. Really help keep antibiotic ointment on without sticking, but they do seem to have a slightly smooth and slightly rough side, just make sure you fold the med in so the smooth part is against the skin, otherwise they’re a bit uncomfortable.

I used to cover the missing tissue over a wounded area on a finger. I had some substantial loss of flesh and skin (long story), and that is what the physical therapist used to cover the wound, lucky for me I found it on Amazon so I could frequently clean and re-dress my wound as needed. The ADAPTIC was applied over the wounded area and then it is topped with a cotton covering. The ADAPTIC prevents the cotton from sticking to the wound, and therefore prevents pulling the newly formed scab tissue when removing the cotton fabric. It worked well and help the skin to form over the wound.
