Yes yes it would work! 
Not only could your deaf puppy feel the warmth of the heat pad inside, the heartbeat would be so comforting. If possible, rubbing the puppy (toy) on the mama and siblings would be amazingly helpful.

I have fostered and adopted puppy mill dogs, abused dogs et cetera. I highly suggest you talk to your veterinarian about putting the dog on xanax. They are they usually start at a higher dose and are able to take it down over the months as the dog gets better.. It's able to calm their brain and mind down enough that they are able to interact And learn to not be afraid. Please give it a try. I adopted a dog 3 months ago who is about 4 years old years old and he was put on xanax 3 weeks after I brought him home. The progress seems slow to other people but to me it's amazing as their body and mind are able to calm down.. When I 1st left him home alone with my other dog I had video cameras on and he triggered it 75 times and one hour running back-and-forth between the front and back door.. After 4 months on it I don't even have to turn the camera on anymore he just lays up in a bed in the window while I'm gone

Did your dog develop a dependency on this toy? Is there a way to wean your dog off of it?

Dogs can develop a routine, a system that they have gotten used to overtime. A great way to wean off the toy would be to remove the heart beat for a few weeks, and then remove the heat pack for a few weeks, and then add other favorite toys/stuffed animals with it for a few weeks and then remove the targeted toy entirely. You would slowly shape the routine so you don’t create any new behaviors that are unwanted: barking, whining, scratching, etc. Hopefully this helps!

Has anyone used the snuggle puppy to help adult rescue dog with separation anxiety. Did the snuggle puppy help? dog is 2 1/2 yrs old.

This silly thing is amazing!!!! I am actually purchasing a second one at this very moment.
My oldest (9yr), and youngest (2.5 yr) both love it. If I am not nearby, they will see where I am, and then curl up with the cuddle puppy and sleep.

If I could give these 1000 likes, I would. I was thrilled by the price originally, but they are worth every single penny!
