This head definitely serves it's purpose, I have bought and used multiple heads from the time I was in cosmetology school to now. You can color this hair and apply heat to it. The length makes it perfect for practicing updos as well. When you first receive this you can see the ends aren't so pretty, and it does have an off smell, but that honestly doesn't really effect it too much. It does come with a little prop that screws on to a counter or table top, but I would recommend getting a stand as it is a little flimsy. All around for the price though, I would give this 5 stars.

Ordered for my daughter in cosmetology school. Saved a lot of money not buying through the college and it was exactly what she needed.

All in all pretty good quality. Head mount could be a little more stiff, if you push too hard the whole head just flops.

This is definitely not human hair. I've ordered from this company before and received a mannequin that was probably 50% human and 50% synthetic, but the one I just ordered is absolutely 100% synthetic. It does not handle heat, and it doesn't stay wet, so it's impossible to practice wet styles or perm wraps with this.It works for practicing haircuts and dry styles, but nothing that requires chemicals, heat, or for the hair to be wet (like finger waving or roller sets).

Got this for my daughter for Christmas to practice curling hair and she loves it. Very nice and easy to assemble and use.

The mannequin on the left came with my cosmetology kit. She’s been packed up but you can see how much smaller the one on the right is. Despite it being smaller it still has good hair density. Her hair seems a little darker than pictured but it’s not a big deal to me. I haven’t used it yet to see how it holds up to washing, heat, and chemicals.
