Sougayilang Fishing Rod Reel Combos Carbon Fiber Telescopic Fishing Rod with Spinning Reel for Travel in Saltwater and Freshwater

Bought this for my husband for Christmas to take on holiday and he absolutely loves it, despite being a carp fisherman, this has come in handy whilst away abroad!

Just arrived. I wanted a quick go-to. Grab and cast for the beach. I’ve put it together and am very pleased with build quality. It is compact and well worth the money. The carry case is a bonus. Just need to catch now.

Very good quality it's easy to transport looks really good easy to use but the only thing I came across is that the extending handle shut but I pulled it out and now I have it on the bigger setting and one of the guides has came lose and I have to continue fixing back in place but I got It last year and I do recommend it

Good fishing rod, I’ve used this for mackerel fishing. I’d recommend looking for a longer rod as this is a tad on the short side but the real is probably the best I’ve used in this price range, very smooth

At first glance it looks good, but there are many defects and damages on the reel. On the very first turn, a small spring came out of the reel. I opened the front spool to put it back, and I noticed there were also broken parts inside. Overall, very poor quality — complete rubbish and not worth the money. I do not recommend buying this reel and fishing kit; very disappointing.

Good price for the kit included. The range of lures provided is versatile enough to get you started without needing to spend more in the short term. The reel handle is foldable which makes it easy to carry around. One downside is that the braided line is too thin. On top of that, one of the lure loops wasn’t properly welded, which caused the line to slip out. It’s fixable with pliers, but not something you should have to deal with straight out of the box. Hence giving 3 stars. Good value overall and more suitable for beginners.

Wanted a long telescopic but this is not up to quality for any experience person. Rod Line guide attached upside down. Should never have been sold. This should fail a quick QC inspection. Reel handle folding mechanism feels ready to break when putting line on with tension. Reel base has a lot if flex likely due to poor quality materials.

This is my second Sougayilang telescoping rod. (The first died a horrible death under the tires of my car—I can hardly blame the manufacturer for this!) These are excellent rods and I love traveling with mine. Flexible and strong, they are a great way to fish anywhere. If I had a complaint, it would only be that the storage sleeve is made for the rod alone, and doesn’t cover the rod and reel combo. Not a big deal, but makes the sleeve less useful for me. The reel is fine, typical of reeled in this price range. Good value.
