Bobcat Lockback - DIY Folding Knife and Combo Kit Series (Blade and Parts Kit only - No Handle Material)

The kit came missing parts. I contacted the seller and they sent a new kit. The new kit had no instructions. The first kit did have the instructions but are unclear. They said install the spring. The kit instructions showed 2 springs but there is really only one. This misinformation on parts in kit add to the confusion. They talked about long and short pins, but all pins are the same length. Best off if you want use this kit, figure it out yourself.The drilled holes on the bolsters have large burrs. The rivet heads are very prominent. Plan on a lot of filing and sanding to get a smooth look on the bolster.I gave it 2 stars instead of one because if you are determined, you can make a knife.Realize there are no scales for this knife, you have to supply the handle material(s) yourself.

if you are a beginner or want to teach someone new, this is a good kit to start with. the directions and illustrations are easy to follow.

This is a great kit if you want to learn how to make a folding knife. You will needs some basic tools, epoxy and a free day!

Very nice knife kit. Be sure to smooth and polish the parts where needed and carefully check the fit before final assembly.
