Oh this is just brilliant. Works straight out of the box. Plug the receiver into your phone, switch the transmitter on, simple pairing and away you go. You can adjust the input recording level, put noise reduction on, use the windshield dead cat.... and get a very very good sound. Supplied in a great carry case and you get the mic, a receiver, charging cable, necklace mount, a magnet for attaching to clothing, a clip, the dead cat.... a great bit of quality and a decent price for what you're getting.

I believe Insta360 has created a solid system that can definitely compete with DJI and others. It seems the company is slightly underplaying the product by marketing it mainly as an accessory for their own cameras — but I wouldn’t. The mic itself is very good. The audio quality is impressive, with just a slight dip in the mids (a personal impression). I’m confident 90% of users — whether using Insta360 gear or third-party devices like smartphones or the DJI Osmo Pocket — will be happy with the sound. In fact, the mic’s design even matches the rear panel pattern of the Osmo Pocket quite well. Build quality is excellent; the mic feels well-made and durable. The package includes plenty of useful accessories — magnetic mounts, a neck strap (yes, you can wear it like that), windshields, a charger, and more. The only downside I found is the case — it’s good, but the surface tends to show fingerprints a bit easily.

The Insta360 Mic Air Transmitter is a fantastic little device. compact, lightweight, and delivers impressively clear audio for its size. a lot smaller than i expected which is a good thing, very lightweight but the audio is fantasic for vocal sounds when filming furthar away form your camera set up or even use it for voiceover work for your videos. comes with a little handy carry case for the dead cat cover, charger and magnetic clips. great little addition for you camera set up.

This mic connect my insta Ace pro 2 easyly. Perfect wind noise protection. Remote start the camera. It came with different kind of mount, charge cable and case.

I was very annoyed when I tried to connect the mic air to the 360 ultra and ut didn't work!!!! It only worked if you bought the 360 receiver with it. This wasn't stated in the description. As of 28th August, it now works directly with the 360 ultra thanks to a firmware update. So you possibly don't need the mic air receiver too. Works great :)

This is a brilliant mic from insta360, it's tiny and comes with a charger, a windpuff and both a clip mount and my fave a small disc that goes under a t shirt or shirt and the mic magnetically sticks to it very solid, the wind muff stays in place and I think the mics noise reduction mode will very really be needed with that on, overall I'm really happy with it and have included a sample video so you can here the microphone on the ace pro 2. overall good value for money, connects automatically once linked and can even turn on and off the camera, good battery life too.

Insta 360 Mic Air I purchased the insta360 Mic air transmitter to see if that would resolve obtrusive wind noises with the ace pro 2. I later learned in the field that the Mic is not omnidirectional and has to be facing the camera to record audio. This makes the Mic unusable in certain situations like walking to or from reveal shots or where there are objects in the line of transmission such as small humps on a summit ridge or other sound transmission barriers. The microphone is best used for facing the camera vlogging only. I have contacted the customer support section and told them of my experience to date. They confirmed what I had discovered and intimated that they will pass on the observations to the research and development section. They also stated that they would send me a free gift as a goodwill gesture.!!

J’ai récemment acheté le Insta360 Mic Air (1 TX + 1 RX) et je suis très satisfait de cet achat. 👉 Points forts : • Transmission sans fil fluide jusqu’à 200/220 m — je n’ai constaté aucune coupure lors de prises de vue en extérieur, même à distance. • Réduction de bruit efficace — le son enregistré est clair, net et professionnel, même dans des environnements un peu bruyants. • Polyvalent — compatible USB-C, donc parfait avec mon iPhone 17 pro Max. La connexion s’établit rapidement et reste stable. • Très simple d’utilisation — le kit TX + RX s’appaire en quelques secondes, et l’autonomie est solide pour plusieurs sessions d'utilisation. 👉 Petit bémol : • Un étui de transport plus rigide aurait été un plus, car les petits composants sont délicats à ranger, mais rien de rédhibitoire. Un étui rigide se trouve assez facilement sur Amazon. 💡 Conclusion : C’est un micro sans fil fiable, clair et facile à utiliser, parfait pour les vloggers, créateurs de contenu, live streamers ou interviews mobiles. Je le recommande vivement 👍

heel goede mic wel niet zo grote afstand kwa spreken zonder onderbreken mijn doel is wel om het te gebruiken in combinatie van de GPS mic om mensen te intervieuwe en voor dat heb je geen afstanden nodig van 30 meter +

This wireless microphone is just perfect! It weighs virtually nothing at 7.9 grams, is easy to unobtrusively connect to shirt, helmet or elsewhere, and the sound quality is almost unbelievably good. It connected first time to my Insta360 Go Ultra, and gives you the ability to record remotely with ease. It’s worth noting that the internal microphone is awesome on the Go Ultra, even while cycling, but the external microphone seems to add even more quality and flexibility. The carrying case fits easily into your back pack, and includes a quality dead cat muffler to reduce wind noise to a whisper. I managed to pick this one up on sale for $70, so definitely a no-brainer if you even suspect you’ll use it!
