Gunpowder Gear 8" Gong Shooting Target with Stand

So far so good. Had some concerns about the stand prior to buying, and after putting 8 rounds of 6.5 Creedmoor onto it at about 300 yards, you can see where the paint or powder coating is flaking off a little on the stand in a line where the bullet splatters on impact, but I don't see it cutting through the tubing anytime soon. Shooting Hornady American Whitetail 129 gr Interlocks at 300 yards, there was no denting in the steel.Given the price point and the lack of damage so far, if I had it to do over I would buy this again.

The stand is easy to take apart for travel and storage. The instructions said not to use 3000+ fps ammo for no less than 200 yards. I shot it with 55gr 5.56 at 100 yards anyways, it did just fine, not even a dent on the gong. The gong pings loud enough to hear with 9mm at 100 yards from a carbine, though it swings a lot less than 5.56. I also shot the stand with 9mm and it made a hole in the front but did not have enough energy to exit the back. The stand's integrity seems just fine despite the hole, so the stand is good quality I would say. With the stakes installed, after 300+ rounds it did not budge a bit in sand. Overall very satisfied, would buy again if I end up shooting it till it breaks apart.

This is an awesome target, went together very easily even without looking at the instructions. Well-made and all the predrilled holes lined up perfectly. Like mentioned before I will be adding some washers to the bolts and nuts that hold the frame and chain together. Hollow point/soft point ammo is recommended and should be adhered to, I had a similar target and the full metal jacket 223/.556 burned right through it. Great price, easy set up and portable. Will be ordering more for the other family members.

It’s not often a product really exceeds expectations. Larger than expected, very sturdy. Fit and finish are good, slid together no problem.By unclipping the gong, and sliding out the top brace, this comes apart and lies perfectly flat. Great for storage and transportation to the range.I plan to add washers to where the chain attaches to the frame, and upgrade the stakes to giant nails. Both of those are personal upgrade choices, not at all required.

The gong is realy good, it support my .308 Winchester that only scratch it.So I have tried it with my .338 Lapua Magnum and no problem at 110 Yard, already fired 20 rounds and I am sure it will support it for long time.This product is Worth the price !

Pretty good for recreation, just be sure to use the ground stakes it comes with. Otherwise you'll scoot this guy all over the place. I do wish it came with some extension poles/inserts though so you could set it higher than mid thigh height. Still, great little setup.

Frame is sufficient and light to assemble and take down as you travel. Steel will last a long time. Ive hit it with 7.62x39, 9mm, 6.5 creedmore and a whole lot of 22. No major dents in the plate.

It's ok, but don't expect the stand to last long. Target took a pummeling at fairly close range and had no issues, but the stand itself took an indirect hit and can no longer be broken down for storage. Would recommend the T-post hangers instead for a cheap target stand setup.
