works very well would get a conditioner for the smell
I tried the DASHU Premium Ultra Bond Gel Down Perm to help tame some stubborn frizz and flyaways, and it actually worked better than I expected. The gel is easy to apply, spreads smoothly, and doesn’t have a harsh chemical smell, which made the whole process pretty comfortable. After using it, my hair looked noticeably smoother and more controlled without feeling crunchy or greasy, and the results lasted longer than a typical styling product. It’s not a dramatic, salon‑level perm, but it definitely softens frizz and keeps the hair lying flatter and neater throughout the day. Overall, it’s a solid option if you want something simple and effective to manage unruly texture without damaging your hair.

Not recommend. Do not purchase
This product does not work. Despite carefully following the directions and applying the gel to my side hair, I saw no improvements. Instead, it caused damage to my hair and the strong smell of the gel lingered for days. I would not recommend this product.

It works reasonably well
I think this works reasonably well if you have the appropriate expectations. First off, it doesn't smell as bad as everyone is saying in other reviews. I think people are overly sensitive. It doesn't smell great but it is consistent with chemicals that you would smell in a salon. But having some experience with professional grade versus what this product is it is considerably milder. I'd give it a 3 1/2 out of 10 in terms of bad smells. Secondly the instructions are a little bit off because you really need to apply some type of pressure to lock the hair location in place. I recommend a headband of some type. It washes off quite easily but you must be mindful of the instructions where you do not shampoo it out just rents. Your hair will feel dry but that's OK you can shampoo the next morning. The results are not that magical. The before and after photos I posted are a little bit sly because I use a very light hair cream to keep my hair laid down. Prior to the treatment this hair cream would not work and I would have to hairspray and blow dry the hair for it to lay down for only 20 minutes. With this product and very very light styling your hair will stay down throughout the day. Given the price and the results I think this product is worth it and great if you want to save a little money on haircuts or have different styling Than what you were genetically inclined to half before Will buy again.

Great product. Don't listen to the one star reviews.
Does what it's suppose to do. I leave it on for an hour. BEFORE YOU START: Hair must be clean Shampoo first (clarifying shampoo is ideal) Do NOT condition Hair should be wet when clipping top hair Clip up longer top hair while wet (easier to manage) Blow-dry sides/back completely dry before applying product Optional but helpful: Extra perm papers At least 2 hair clips headband (i cut the headband so I can tighten it like a rope). Mirror for the back area APPLICATION (IMPORTANT PART): Apply product liberally Use more than you think For each section: Brush product downward Then upward Then downward again Work in sections slightly larger than the perm papers Apply perm papers after each section is complete wrap head with headband PROCESSING TIME Leave on for 60 minutes RINSING (VERY IMPORTANT) Rinse with WATER ONLY DO NOT shampoo DO NOT ruffle hair Smooth hair downward gently with fingers Rinse thoroughly Pat dry gently with towel Blow-dry with warm/cool air downward only Keep hair flat while drying You can go to sleep after drying AFTERCARE Wait 8–12 hours (or more) before shampooing First shampoo can be clarifying to reduce smell Condition lightly Use hair mask weekly if desired Not as flat as a salon hot perm Great improvement for: Thick, Very straight, “Porcupine” hair Works best when sides are: #4 guard or longer 0.5–1 inch length Not ideal for very short fades (#2 or shorter) HOW LONG IT LASTS Around 3–4 weeks Hair grows out, so new growth will stick out Reapply every 3–4 weeks if needed COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID Using too little product Not coating hair fully (up + down strokes) Shampooing immediately after rinsing Doing it on hair that’s too short Expecting K-pop hot perm results SMELL NOTES: It smells like a perm (normal) Smell reduces after first shampoo Change pillowcase/towel after first night FINAL REALISTIC EXPECTATION: Will NOT give ultra-flat K-pop hot perm results WILL: Make hair noticeably flatter More manageable Less “wide” looking Easier to style Save money vs salon cold perm Great value for money, Easy to use, hair stays down so it's easier to maintain and style

Works! But no dramatic results.
First off very impressed that this doesn't smell as bad as other perm down products! However, after following the EXACT instructions - the hold was just meh. it did make the stick outs much less noticeable but my sides were still a bit poofed out. I think this is a useful product when your SUPER desperate and to do anything to tame the sides until you cut them or grow them out, but nothing life-changing too be honest.

Works the same as hair salon

「手軽さ」「セット内容」「仕上がり」のバランスが取れており、サイドのふくらみをほどよく抑えたい人には特におすすめです。一方、「強いクセを完全に寝かせたい」「極短髪で使いたい」という方には力不足かもしれません。

Worked really well on my stubborn straight hair. Had to apply and leave it for about 45mins for it to work.

So like all you lovely folks. I have a cowlick. I also have a huge forehead. Which means I wear a fringe. But said cowlick makes having a fringe troublesome. Which brings us to my trying dashu. I did EVERYTHING I was supposed to. I put it only on the roots where I had regrowth. I left it on for only 10 minutes. I rinsed thoroughly. Blow dryed it in the direction I wanted it to lay. Left it. And then shampooed 24 hours later. And my hair has MELTED. That’s if it hasn’t snapped off already. What hair remained that the dashu has touched is wiry, crunchy and melted as you can see in the attached image. Not only that. I STILL have a cowlick. And NOW my forehead is even bigger. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. Edit/update: hair continues to break off everywhere the dashu touched. I was given a refund for the $23 I spent, which is nice of them.
